That little extra step he takes before applying the finish in the first goal, good lord.

If any of our lot had a tenth of his coolness in front of goal we’d be out scoring City and Bayern combined.

MILITO ON INTER’S KEY PLAYER AGAINST MILAN AND LAUTARO’S FUTURE

Diego Milito rides a challenge from Martin Demichelis in the 2010 Champions League Final

Inter legend Diego Milito believes Marcelo Brozovic will be the Nerazzurri’s key player tonight and reveals that Atletico Madrid are not the only club interested in signing his compatriot and friend Lautaro Martinez.

The Nerazzurri face Milan in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final tonight. It kicks off at 20.00 UK time. The defending Serie A champions have never beaten their city rivals this season and Milito feels that tonight’s match could be decisive also in the race for the title.
“I have no doubts, the derby always leaves something inside, positive or negative. We saw what happened with Inter after their defeat in February. It will happen the same this time,” the ex-striker told La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.
“Inter have gotten over their difficult time and the vctory against Juventus was a turning point, the following games have proved it.”

The Nerazzurri had a tough start to the year, but have recently recovered, collecting three wins in a row in Serie A. They are now two points off table leaders Milan, but with a game in hand. Why did Inter struggle at the start of the year?
“European games always bring psychological stress. Inter played on a par with Liverpool and suffered a sort of setback after the elimination,” the Nerazzurri legend claimed.

What did Mourinho do to ease the pressure on Inter players during the treble-winning campaign in 2009-20?
“Do you know what a leader must do? Transmit serenity,” said Milito.
“The team already feels the weight of responsibility in these moments. Everyone knows the targets, there is no need to repeat. You must offload the head and Mourinho was always calm with us. The opposite of what he looked like on the outside.
“Inter have a slight edge. They won last season, so everyone knows how to approach decisive games. In general, I think they have more arrows than the Rossoneri.”

Who will be Inter’s key player tonight?
“The team’s strength is the playing style and Marcelo Brozovic has been decisive this season. His absence was felt when he was not on the pitch.”

How about Lautaro Martinez? He has had highs and lows this season…
“It’s a very important moment for him, so he must remain calm. I haven’t changed my mind about him, he is an extraordinary footballer. Does Simeone want him? Not just him, many are interested, but every time I talk to him, he says that he is happy in Milan and is not thinking about anything else.”
Spot on.

Made us appreciate winning culture more. And that it's better to have a united team with less stars than a bunch of very talented stars that bicker behind closed doors

2012-2018, imo it ended with Vecino header in 2018. And started with Marsella elimination in 2012.

i like your timeline and feel you're getting somewhere but in my mind it starts and ends with Nagatomo being a starter

although the Greek in me believes it's because I stopped posting here in early 2011 and returned in the summer of 2017 so you'll have to bear with me if you want Inter to be relevant :D

I post this here, I don't know if there's a thread dedicated to this, but I saw on twitter than there was a celebrity game ? I saw Zanetti, Maicon (still very fit), Figo, Milito, Matrix, Cambiasso, Stankovic, Sneijder, Cordoba, Lucio, Julio Cesar ... That seemed really cool.
