Aside from that brainfart shoot, i think Dumfries is not bad. his game improves our threath with his run and quite good at attacking the space. that long ball to Lautaro for 1 on 1 chance is actually great.

Also I love the mentality, defensively he's not easy to beat and offensively despite the critics and some of his teammates (mainly Barella) always telling him off, he's always making the runs, trying. He has the right energy for a wing back.
Theo wouldn't be able to make those runs against us because both Darmian and Dumfries would rather rugby tackle his ass to the floor than let him score that easily.
