He was partly to blame for both the 3rd and 4th goal and generally a liability in defense. Nutmegged several times.

He bottled a 100% chance as well, completely missing the ball. The goal he scored was pure luck, completely missing up the initial touch, but somehow managed to score though.

The key word here is partly. He was ok, when Pavard was on the field, and Jube's dangerous attacks were created mainly be Concencao, from the left side.
When Bisseck (and Frattesi) came in, we started leaking chances from the right as well.

He had a good game not that long ago, but I suspect he isn't going to sign that extension. His best season was 2 seasons ago?? I just don't see him as our starter RWB, hopefully Buchanan steps the fuck up.

Dumfries is always a liability for other players to help cover him in different ways, Pavard and Barella are the usual victims. Dumfries is a very good utility player if used correctly, he is not hopeless, but to make him work is hard work.

There was a moment in the last game where he tries to receive the ball, and it bounces off of him like five meters. And before you say it happens to everyone, no it doesn't, his technique is pathetic.

Also pay attention how much momentum we lose in attack every time we try to attack from his side. As soon as he receives the ball, there are so many unnecessary movements and touches, it completely removes every ounce of fluidity we had before he got involved. Also, he can't dribble past a trashcan, which is really a big problem if you play that position. And i m not even mentioning obvious defending deficiencies, which became even more apparent in the last couple of years. So that's why i m a proud hater

Obviously you can concentrate on the positive stuff as well and say he is great at attacking the empty spaces, he has nice low crosses, decent physicality and speed, but that for me is simply not good enough to trump all the bad things I mentioned, especially in a team overwhelmingly oriented towards attack.

Hate? Probably not, but he's just average overall. A player that didn't improve by much since the first season he arrived.

Every time he's got the ball I expect he'll slow us down or make a bad decision and he usually does tbh. If we can sell him and upgrade on him we should do it.

Hell never get the respect he deserves. A genuine top 5-10 RB/RWB on the planet. Assuming Hakimi won’t be back again I’m so happy to have him. Darmian is a nice backup but at this stage Dumfries is simply better than him and should be our starter.
