Complete non-factor tonight.

Not sure why he had to mark Ranieri though, that doesn't sound right. Someone else was supposed to be there but wasn't.
He is the guy not marking anyone thus designated to pickup up someone making a late run from outside the box. He doesn't see Ranieri and reacts late. Atleast that is how I saw it, everyone else seemed to be marking someone.

His agent Riso admitted that he tried to send his client to another club. Several sources reported that Frattesi didn’t personally ask to leave Inter in January.
“It was my idea,” confirmed Riso.

“Or, if you prefer, my push. I saw Davide feeling down because he expected to play more, and I felt bad about it. So, I started working to find alternatives for him, not just in Italy.

“When it comes to Frattesi, a return to Roma is always a natural option, but I had strong solutions in La Liga and, above all, in the Premier League. I would have tried to bring Cristante to Inter if the deal had gone through. But everything stopped because of Davide’s decision; he was too committed to staying at Inter. The team is fighting for every target; they’re one of the strongest in Europe, and he knows he can still win a lot in Milan.”

Roma midfielder Cristante wasn’t only an option for Inter, at least according to this creative agent:
“At one point, both Juve and Inter were interested in Cristante, but they would have needed to make sales that, in the end, didn’t happen,” said Riso.

“That’s good news for Roma, who can count on a veteran, a potential captain, a player with personality and experience, at least until June.
Cristante will be moved in summer - I hope that not to Inter!

Let's hope Antonello comes with a proper bid before his market value starts to drop.

Roma DS Ghisolfi kinda confirms this transfer is to be expected:
"We have worked on Frattesi, with him, with the agent and with Inter. We came close, we’ll see if his arrival is achievable in four months’ time. Him, or a midfielder with his qualities." - Ghisolfi
If this is not a hint, then I don`t know what it is.

I am 90 % sure he leaves in the summer.
And that’s fine. I’m honestly very disappointed with his development. He isn’t any better than when he joined us 1,5 year ago. Very one-dimensional player in the end. Not suited to our playing style. I had great hopes for him, but this isn’t the right place at the right time for him.

Time to move on.

Maybe we made a mistake not finding a middle ground with Roma. Of course I don't mean to accept their low offer (25mln or whatever), but 30mln + bonuses and % from a next sale, could have been agreed most probably

It's true though. We needed to sell Brozovic to fund a move for Frattesi.

July 3 2023: Inter officially sell Brozovic

July 4 2023: Inter close the deal for Frattesi
Thats not the same thing we were gonna sell brozo anyways.....We sold him cause plus valenza getting rid off a big salary and mainly cause haka showed he can play in his spot and be just as effctive would have made no sense fo us to keep these two "expensive" players for the same spot....

Like it was not a thought of we got to replace brozo lets get frattesi for that......Neither was it we desperatly want frattesi so lets sell Brozo to finance it.
It was well sell brozo anyways and part of that money goes towards financing frattesi these are not the same things.
Brozo would have been sold anyways wether we get frattesi or soebody else, thats my point. So to now go we sold brozo for this dude is just not true and not fair

It was exactly like this. Maybe you don't remember the whole saga.
Maybe you don remember the saga? how bout that?
Just the fact that Frattesi came on a loan first would suggest we did not need to sell jack shit at that time to get him cause again he was on a loan first..
We could have kept brozo and sold him or anybody else a year later to finance the deal but we did not.....
But sure we had to sell brozo to get frattesi and selling Brozo was not mainly a plusvalenze move you can believe what ever you want....

I remember the Saudis made an offer which they later reduced, and we still accepted it like cucks. So yeah, I believe we desperately wanted to sell Brozo and it was done in order to get Frattesi.

Regardless if we needed the actual cash or not, we needed the slot in the team to be available.

Another twist has emerged in Al-Nassr’s chase of Marcelo Brozovic as the Saudi side have now changed their offer to Inter, causing talks to stall, Gianluca Di Marzio details.

Inter are keen to sell Brozovic in order to fund their investment into Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi. The Nerazzurri are desperate to beat their domestic rivals to the punch and have already set up a new meeting for the midfielder.

Di Marzio revealed today that talks between Inter and Al-Nassr hit a sudden standstill after the Saudi side changed their offer – a €23m fee was originally agreed, but now Al-Nassr want to pay €15m plus add-ons, with €13m of that being upfront.

The Nerazzurri have refused this and are now stuck in a difficult position, unable to complete a move for Frattesi until Brozovic is sold.

Couldn't get more clear than this.

i think we sold broz because he was our best shot of plusvalenza and giving some money into the club. yes, we'd decided we wanted frattesi by then, but it wasnt a question of do we keep broz or do we sign frattesi, it was a question of we need to rejuvenate/plusvalenza, who do we sign instead of broz

After another half year of dog shit performances we'll see what kind of offers we get in the summer
