Imo his best position is the role Simone Perrotta used to have for Spalletti's Roma in 2000s. For those who are old enough to remember it.

Start him in the Coppa matches, and when the Champions league is on top of Serie A with little breaks in between. Else the 60min sub is still useful and impactful.

I honestly thought it is common sense on this forum when talking about Frattesi and consistency, that we consider his limited starts last season and the regular starts he’s had for Italy recently. I thought it’s clear what I mean without getting bogged down in the literal definition of "consistent."

I mean, in what world are sub appearances considered consistent playing time?

I just thought that word was used differently than some of the members here. That's why we use the phrase "x players form has been consistent", because it measures something.

I believe he should be our starter this season with Barella and Calha.

I didn't know that getting around 15 min at the end of the match is considered as consistent playing time.
So you dont know what consistent means is what you are telling me?
Also he averages just shy of 30mins per game(serie a) just saying....

Then why not just state i think he should start over miki? Would have led to another discussion...

Playing here and there 15 min could be "consistent" on paper, but in reality is not enough to get "consistent" performance from someone.

Lol, this is great! 30min per game. Don't make me laugh.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with what I said because I said exactly what I wanted to say, word for word, I don't think I could be clearer, lol.

When you look at his games, goals for both us and Italy, and the way he plays, it’s pretty obvious that having him as a starter is going to be a huge boost for us. But you simply can't give him 1 full game, and expect wonders. Bench him the next two, give him the next four games 50 minutes total, bench again, start again.

As for what I wrote, I still stand by it 100%. Given the context and background knowledge we all have (I mean, this is an inter forum), saying “he needs consistency” was totally spot on. I’m not here to get sidetracked into a grammar lesson; I said what I meant, if I was wrong, then I clarified in a follow up post and in this one. That's it.

No, the whole point of such player's (as Frattesi's) efficiency is that he is a midfielder who attacks to the space, makes the movement.

We have a solid Raumdeuter we cant really play efficiently (besides sub) due to our system. I fully understand his strength just cant see him fit in anywhere in the middle.

Also Perrotta is a pretty good comparison but he was played as a false 9 for a whole season sometime in the mid 2000s.

He fits to the current system when we don't need to play the current system. When we just need the goal. He scored quite well last season with limited minutes. To me that's enough. If it's enough for the guy himself, even better.

He doesn’t fit our system as a starter, we do not play like the national team and our team is substantially stronger then it, why he is a starter there and not at Inter.

To have him as a starter would mean you need to modify the tactics quite substantially as he simply isn’t the ball carrier, distributer, passer or has the Vision of Miki. He is good at what he dos well, running with the ball towards the penalty box as a two way mid but it’s not how Miki position is played. He work for us when we change approach, when we need a goal but as a starter isn’t going to work because he isn’t fit for system.

He on average get 30min a game it’s not like he ain’t playing

The problem is that Mkhiky is useless in the final third, because his passes are almost always intercepted and his shooting is rather poor.
If Inzaghi cannot integrate Frattesi in the starting 11, we shall sell him. Considering his amortisation, he is an expensive back up.

That's it imho. He SHOULD be a question of the opponent - in a game with more space and more room for us to attack, id like to see frattesi actually start to give us more threat and offensive options than our normal XI. In a cagier game mkhi.

Yup! I said this early last season or was it mid season, if you scan through my posts. He’s just like Perotta!

But isn’t really his main job on the team. It’s not like Barella dos marvellous either, except for the freak of a goal recently, and it’s literally part of his job description.

He dos well as a sub, so I see no reason to sell him, so I honestly don’t care about the price paid for him, now that he is here and that he regularly contributes to the team. Besides no one is ever remotely going to pay the price Inter paid.

If we sell him for 30 mln, definitely Roma and Jube will jump on him immediately.

He has his uses.
We are not using him to his best abilities

I can see him doing well in a different line up
