A good job today and he scored. Hope this is a start in turning the season around for him.

If there is one thing sure in life, that is a D'ambrosio far post goal.

Danilo D’Ambrosio is the only Inter player to have scored at least two goals in each of the past six Serie A seasons.

It’s funny how most of his goals are almost identical. It’s a typical D’Ambrosio run to go far post to complete any misheaded ball. It’s simple and effective.

Anyway I dont like him in RCB position at all.

Brozovic covering him at RCB so he can make forward runs beside Hakimi is one of the oddest things I've seen since Stramaccioni played Ranocchia as a striker

This guy was ahead of Hakimi in the build up a lot in the first half. I assume this the reason Conte wants full backs as the outside CBs. We are like a slow motion less potent atalanta.

The only problem is Conte is totally dependent on him and he lacks the mobility a fullback needs.

Enough is enough.

YOU CANNOT PUT A PLAYER WHO SHITS HIS PANTS WHENEVER HE RECEIVE THE BALL AS RCB. THIS IS JUST WRONG.

Conte is just contradicting himself. He wants his (so called) system to succeed, but plays D’Ambrosio as RCB, who is slow, shit with the ball, cant pass to save his life. Can we bring back fucking Godin? God, this club.

Not blaming him for the loss but the guy does my head in. There were 3 particular instances late in the game when the score was 2-2 which just perfectly sum D'Ambrosio up for me:

1. A ball is played to D'Ambrosio and he doesn't realise he's actually free. He doens't even fucking realising he has time, space and options to take the ball forward or look for a pass. Instead, he instinctively and immediately turns his body away from goal, shielding from a non-existent opponent, and passes backwards.

2. He receives the ball in his typical diagonal position with Hakimi to his right closer to the byline. There isn't a single player in the Madrid box but D'Ambrosio, being the 60IQ player he is, still tries to cross into the box for absolutely nobody. Typical though, his cross fails to even clear the first man and Madrid win the ball back cheaply.

3. Identical scenario as #2, except this time, there is a handful of Inter players in the box. D'Ambrosio crosses, but again, his cross hits the near man a few meters in front of him, possession is wasted, and Madrid counter attack again.

Like I said, he's not to blame for the loss or our current form by any means. But time and time again, his deficiencies are so exposed whenever we play against any top 6 level teams and we need more quality. It's always lacking from him.

D'ambrosio is D'ambrosio.

He is Torino level player. What do you expect from him? Become like Godin or Ramos?

Hakimi fully exposed on the right side. D'ambrosio sure not enough to become our starting RCB. We replace Godin basically with nothing.

Let's enjoy D'ambrosio for the rest our season.

Conte rather play him than Skriniar. If D'Ambrosio was a real Interista, he'd take off his shoes and say Skriniar deserves his spot. Then spit on Conte's face.

When Conte was hired by Inter i believed this guy is perfect for the RCB role. But the more he plays the more exposed he gets in that position whenever we face a decent opponent. The goals he scores aren't enough to make up for his poor performances. I am afraid he can only play as a RWB in Conte's formation (and not with a great success).

He has the exact same "problems" Skriniar has to be honest. He's not that good with the ball, he can't dribble with the ball because he's so slow. He's not confident executing passes forward.

Also D'Ambrosio is a lot slower than Skriniar without the ball and he's weak as fuck compared to Skriniar. Only thing D'Ambrosio has over Skriniar is his instincts to go for those aerial balls in the box, specially in setipeices and also his ability to get those non-existent fouls from the refs.

How things change. :D

People tend to either overrate or underrate our players, rarely see them in an objective way.

Danilo has always been valuable and decent player for us. Versatile and can cover few positions, better or worse. But he has NEVER been good enough to be a regular starter. The fact that he plays a lot more than he should have is what kills us.

That being said, imo he should be part of the team, and has some playing time, but not as regular as he is getting now, and by no means a starter. And he is not shit or even mediocre, he is decent player that every team needs to have.
