From FedeNerazzura’s Twitter. Massive, massive mentality from D’Ambro.

"When D'Ambrosio scored against Empoli, he came to give me a hug: that had never happened to me, it was shocking in a great way, a great emotion. Despite my mistake against Juve (cause PK), I understood that everyone was on my side." - Dumfries

Surprisingly good performance today. Can't say he's a direct threat like Skriniar when going forward but he moves the ball around calmly.

DDA was very good today, with Bastoni's, Inter is going to rely heavily for the immediatefuture. Full warrior needed, he can do it!

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd see Sadio Mane struggle against Danilo D'Ambrosio da Caivano...and yet here we are

Mane's decline had been more severe than we thought. Probably AFCON wears him out. DDA did well. Given De Vrij's inconsistent performance this season, I don't mind seeing a Bastoni-Skriniar-DDA back line once in a while

Inzaghi must be getting along very well with his players. The only one who's a bit pissed is Vecino but even he gets playing time.

On D'Ambrosio now. This is a guy that probably is leaving next season and wants a new contract. Simone subs him in a very important game and he does reasonably well (aside from that poor shot, but great move to get in that position). Guy is a fighter and loves being here. I also think he deserves being here.

If De Vrij leaves then he should stay for another season. He still has the legs for it. It's not like we're asking him to play RWB every 3 days.

Exactly. As a bench option for RCB, he is good enough.

He was impressive last night if you ask me.

Still laughed at that Candreva/Guarin moment.

This man pocketed Mane. Mr reliable, will always do a job and is a genuine threat at the other side.

Very solid, I think the best thing I can say about him is that when I saw him warming up I wasn’t nervous. You just know what you’re going to get from D’Ambrosio, whether that’s in a random Coppa Italia match or CL knockout game away at Anfield. He just gets on with the business no matter the occasion.

I think he should stay only one more season. Imo we will need his locker room leadership since we are going to be doing a revamp with younger players next season. Having him around still will be important, then once the squad is settled again it’s probably time for a send off and bring a younger dynamic player that fits Inzaghi ball. Jurrien Timber from Ajax would be a great option.

i thought when he came on Mane would eat him alive, but it didn't happen and he held his own. Another warrior performance from him.

Depends on what we do with Ranocchia, I can’t imagine needing both of them for locker room presence for another season.

Well it's weird because I guess we don't know what the club has planned for any of our loaned CBs but I'm not sure if we can afford losing both of our backups when we have no money.

If we sell de vrij and sign Bremer we aren't really gaining anything in terms of depth. If Ranocchia and D'Ambrosio both go we would only have Dimarco as a backup.

Milenkovic has a small 13-15m release clause but we can't afford that after strengthening the first team with Scamacca, Fratessi, Bremer. Even then we would only have 2 subs for the 3 CBs and they would both be more suited to playing on the sides.

Much more solid than I thought against Juve. We're definitely better off with Bastoni-Skriniar-DDA than Bastoni-Rano-Skriniar when De Vrij is out
