Is it just rustiness? I think he never expected to start and now that it happens that we actually need him, he is absolutely terrorized. He is completely lost, I won't lie, whenever the ball comes near him I expect him to do something dumb.

Padelli is a fine keeper. But you got the mental aspect right.

This is the toughest stretch of games we'll have all season long and it's up to Padelli now. Handanovic had a monumental season so far that's been underrated here but the entire team is aware that without Handanovic we're probably seveal points less in the standings. Padelli hasn't been a first choice keeper for 3 years and GKs, like strikers, work on confidence. And you don't gain confidence during the training sessions.

It doesnt help being 34 years old, that’s what makes me pessimistic about him.

Of course it is more or less rustiness and mental thing. He haven't played almost at all and now all of the sudden he gets in the spotlight and in full house of derby della madonnina. You all can image how would you feel. As gk you won't even get in the game by making couple good tackles and grinta. There will be only few dangerous attacks and you will be evalueted by those.

After all it also took Handa many years to become this solid. It is pretty big contrast when we have used to have a gk that have made almost zero mistakes in last 3 years.

i can't hate this guy.

Whatever he do, he can't replace Handa .

The gap between Handa and him too big, just don't make blunder like Karius, i am fine with it.

Cant blame him, I blame the management more. Almost every top team have a competent second GK, no matter how injury-free the first GK. Padelli and Carrizo are bad even for second GK standrad. Carrizo was a fucking third choice at Lazio. Castellazzi was the last competent second GK we had.

As for Padelli, it was expected that he’d perform like this, and he’ll continue to do so.
Berni is our 3rd GK. Carizzo isn't with us for years now...

I know. What I meant is, we once had Carrizo for years as a second GK.

Agent Silvano Martina has claimed Inter goalkeeper Daniele Padelli was wrongly targeted after the Derby della Madonnina. “He knows he’s not a phenomenon”.

When Inter were down 0-2 at half-time in the Milan derby last weekend, the goalkeeper’s agent has claimed he was “massacred with malice” and blamed for the goals conceded.

In the absence of captain and first choice Samir Handanovic, Padelli has stepped up and Martina insists that he doesn’t deserve to shoulder the blame at San Siro.

“After the derby, he was massacred,” Martina told Radio Marte. “He had no responsibility for Milan’s first goal, while he could have certainly done better on the second.

“He knows he’s not a phenomenon, but I didn’t like that he was massacred with malice.”

Emiliano Viviano has been linked with Inter to help provide back-up in the absence of Samir Handanovic, but Martina stressed that he would still be behind Padelli in the pecking order.

“I know that the club would like to know the extent of Handanovic’s injury. If Viviano were to stay, he would be a back-up to Padelli.”

Imagine being Berni. You wait what felt like an entire career with no chances at playing a game. Handanovic goes down and it looks like you may have a chance to get some minutes with how rusty Padelli has looked; your time finally comes and you get replaced by Viviano.

Poor Berni.

I think berni knows he'll never play a competitive game. He's basically a fluffer, a title in the porno industry, which is someone who rubs dicks before the they film to keep the pros hard.

Poor Berni.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's happy about that. Prevents him from potentially embarrassing himself in an actual game and he stays well-liked.

given that he's played about 50 games in his life, it could still be true and a crappy game

My silent wish is that he will not have to make any save at all.

The dude who has 25 goals in 23 matches vs the Panini sticker collector turned goalkeeper.

It's safe to say we're probably fucked. The only way we can win is if the score at the end is something like 5 - 6.

Serie C keeper. Hopefully we are already serarching for another GK. Why not keep Radu? Oh right, Parma needs a second GK, let's give them Radu for the bench. Retards.....

He is shit even for second GK standards. I hope we dont repeat this mistake again, big clubs nowadays have two great goalkeepers in the same team.

Looking at the other 19 GK who started this week end in Serie A, I can safely say that Inter is chasing the scudetto with the worst goalkeeper in the league.

Not gonna blame Padelli for too much. He's training and playing when told to play, which is hardly ever. So this is what you get.

Obviously the blame goes for the management to not have a good backup keeper for the coach. Or maybe blame the coach for not using the backup keeper ever? Maybe blame management for sending Radu to Parma to sit on the bench. Why not sit on the bench at Inter while learning from Handa?
