He's been better than the waste of money I was predicting. I was against his transfer as I feared he would drive Wally out of the team, which he didnt so all's well.

The only thing where he should improve is the free kicks.

Fabs noone besides a few were surprised at the big$$ we spent on Chivu..heaps of people were crying foul but now everyone knows why we paid that much for him..

he has been impressive wherever he has played and has given us agility and flair on occasions...he is a complete player for mine :star: and shoud be played more in the midfield role not that he isnt good in the CB or LB role

His first is Left Back. He was playing left back since he joined Universitatea Craiova. At Ajax the coach started using him as a centre-back.

He was a centerback in Roma. In Ajax he was playing as both centerback and leftback. He is playing as a defensive midfielder in the romanian national team.

I really can't imagine him playing center back for us. It will definitely under utilize him. Putting him as a DM or LB frees him and thus he is more efficient.

its just his superior tackling skills have led coaches to play him in their backline
