I hope Newell's can win the Libertadores, they are a great team (Y)

Pero me conformo con que los brasileros putos se queden afuera :yao:

Mineiro no hizo nada ayer que siquiera sugiera que es un mejor equipo que Newell's. Partidazo.
Español ftw

Thats a Copa game for you. Blood, goals, drama, lights go off in the stadium. On penalties now after Mineiro won 2-0 to tied it 2-2 on agg.

- - - Updated - - -

Horrendous penalties so far. Mineiro has missed 2 Newells 2. A couple not even close.

- - - Updated - - -

Mineiro wins on Penalties. Newells missed 3 straight. Ronaldinho scored to make it 3-2 and the keeper saved a penalty from Maxi Rodriguez.

Heart breaker.

Fuck Mineiro. Newell's is a once in a fucking lifetime team. My favourite to watch, and they deserved more, much more.

Yeah they deserved more but Minero played a great game today coming back from a 2-0 hole. This should have been the final, both team much better to me than Olimpia or Santa Fe.

What a pity for Newell's, now Martino will not continue coaching the club (Newell's was about to relegate to second division when he arrived)

Nice win by them, came back from a 2-0 1st leg deficit in both the Semi finals and the final.

Ronaldinho now the 7th player to win the Champions League and Copa Libertadores after Dida, Cafú, Tévez, Sorín, Roque Junior and Walter Samuel.

On Bernard......Only watched a few minutes of the final but I've watched many Mineiro games so far and Bernard is their best player. Very lively and makes excellent cutting runs, haven't seen him cross much to have a feeling on that but the times I've seen him its excellent. He is an excellent Brazilian prospect if he goes to Porto will be sold for big money in two years, if he goes to Arsenal I think he could grow there just don't know how the "finally a big signing" pressure is gonna affect him.

I heard that Arsenal wanted to buy Bernard, and that would be a smart purchase, because he is an excellent player

Ronaldinho didn't play the way he knows and Mineiro did not deserve to be the champion since quarter-finals... *sigh* well... it's the 4th consecutive Brazilian team that wins the Libertadores... (sao paulo, santos, corinthians and mineiro) who the FACK is gonna stop them? e.e

Some might argue mineiro came from 2-0 deficits twice to become champions, but imo they didn't deserve shit, being such a boring and repetitive team (even with the likes of ronaldinho, bernard, tardelli)and on top of that, they're an unlikeable team, with bernard bitching throughout the entire cup and their keeper cheating the first penalty against olimpia.

Speaking of Bernard, I dont think he's what Arsenal need, nor will I think he will succeed, since a 35 M move would be huge pressure for him.

Ok you all hate Brazilian teams.... but I think they deserved it more than Olimpia certainly. To me it was either them or Newells but they had to face each other in the semi final.

Their football certainly didn't look as sharp as earlier in the competition but you can say the same about Newells who looked tired by the time they had to face Mineiro.

I was thinking if anyone else noticed the first penalty too lol, the Mineiro keeper jumped far out off his line to save the penalty
