Really, does he have to play, on a personal level? Why is he doing this?! He is risking his life with no need.

Prob some extra retirement money. If he continues to play I can't picture him going past 32.

I think his motivation is the upcoming world cup. He probably doesn't want people to think of his collapse as the last memory of Eriksen as a football player. I am just surprised he has chosen a league as demanding as EPL in terms of fitness and rhythm. He could have easily done that at Odense or even Ajax.

he is not going to die. Fuck that stupid rules.
I would do exactly the same if i was him, but he should get a better team than that honestly.

Why? Daley Blind is playing with the same injury even on CL-level. Your forget quickly that he has a monitor. If Eriksen plays good people will forget it even happened.

My mate who lives in the Netherlands and is an Ajax supporter has said that Dany Blind has collapsed on the pitch on a couple of occasions and that he is a headache a for the club:

I am grateful for his six months and wish him all the best in the future but we do not need the the distraction.

You have no evidence to prove this.

He's also collapsed in training sessions iirc.

For a change, I think Italy's laws/regulations make good sense.

I like Eriksen but my desire to see him play again is not greater than my desire to see him live a long and healthy life.

I am not really fussed where he elects to play in the future.

My only love is Inter and having him on the pitch in Italy would be risk not only to the club, but his teammates (in the event he suffers a relapse).

Just for the record, I do not think he should be in LGI.

2 times to be exactly. Against Valencia in 2020 and in a friendly also in 2020. After that nothing happened, at least nothing we know.

Most people memory is short and I don't think most fans will even remember these occasions. I'm not saying it isn't a risk but it's not like everytime Blind has the ball we are afraid he collapse.

Doctors have given the green light to go ahead and play, so if you're given the green light to go and do what you love why not do it then?....

Besides, if and only if, it should happen again, the ICD will have him covered, so i have a hard time seeing any risk in returning to his profession.

At anytime I think it should be an individual decision, based on doctors view & tests if you want to play football.

I've would have loved to see CE playing in Inter under Inzaghi would have been the perfect match :(

That’s all fine and well, but…

Not a single word to the club that you were part of and paid your wages (I know, I know) for half a year, knowing full well you’d likely never play for it again?
Not a goodbye to the literal millions of supporters that have been with you all this time, from the thousands that showed up and sang your name for hours when you signed in the winter of 2020, to the people that supported you greatly when you did pretty much nothing but sit on the bench, going as far as to take your side and lament the hugely succesful coach that chose to not play you because you didn’t fit, to the relieved fans that screamed your name when you turned it all around with that freekick goal against Milan, to the millions that cried when you fell and felt relieved and elated when you ultimately rose again?
Nothing but a general, one-time ‘yeah cheers’ on Danish television, after your agent was very, very busy whoring you out to other clubs before we knew what the situation was in terms of your ability to play football, and to honor the contract you signed?
Not a moment of “hey Inter, good to see you, I’m alive and kicking, thank you for your support specifically’ for the club that gave you your career’s likely only major league championship?
Not a cameo and a wave at the stadium to the adoring and loving fans during a match?

Not even a goodbye when we chose to rescind the contract so you could do what you wanted, although other options would’ve probably suited us better (at least in terms of FFP).

Nothing at all?

Introvertedness, privacy and solitude in moments of hardship only takes you too far, and although I respect that you’ve seemingly fought back enough to do what you want, I can’t respect not giving anything, even the slightest back to us, specifically. Not people of the world, not football fans in general, not Danish people.

Us. Inter.

Now it’s Brentford and you’ll likely never look back. Time can prove me wrong, the actions over the last year tells me it will not.

I never thought I’d be emotionally invested in Christian Eriksen, but somehow, I did.
Now, must of all, I’m disappointed.

The move to Brentford is still not finalized. Players usually pay a tribute to former teams after they have officially joined their new clubs, no?

Even Hakan thanked Milan when he left. So I can't imagine Eriksen not doing so.

I'm sure they want to organize a cameo but not in the stadium with only 5k spectators. They want rather full house, or at least that 75%. I guess given the timing of everything, even 50% would be fine. But if Eriksen is starting at Bredford already, it might be hard to arrange the visit to Milano suddenly with all the COVID shit going on.

Let's see.

Just realised he is 29. That means we signed him at 27, at his peak, and also with the best yet to come. This was a great one pulled off by Marotta and company.

Too bad Conte fucked him up for a year, and then the unfortunate incident. We could have a monster midfield for Inzaghi today.

And that really hurts. Seeing Inter for 2 decades, we have been blessed with great forwards, GKs, defenders, but never midfielders. It was always a sore point.

Today though, we have a good (starting) midfield. Let's hope we can build on that. First by renewing Brozovic. And then adding more quality depth like Frattesi.
