Imagine Cesc Fabregas eliminating Barca in Camp Nou with a late screamer?

Messi vs Cesc..These 2 teams are very similar in terms of teamplay and holding the possession..Very attacking

Mouthwatering ties everywhere..

Poor Juve&Milan :D

Now the Arsenal fans cry foul. :D
I'm guessing fans of the teams facing Barca will say it's rigged.

Agreed with most of the points in here, we can't really complain about this.

cska tough? they have some quality players but considering we just defeated chelsea this is a good break for us. We're full of confidence and playing in russia won't be as difficult as the weather won't be so cold this time of year.

I'm not going to complain about our path to the final, when you get to the top 4 it is expected to play a class side. I have no doubts in my mind we can beat Arsenal and i'm certainly not as afraid of barca as most of you are.

that 2-0 at the nou camp was a brutal game for us but we were missing sneijder and mourinho totally got it wrong. We basically went there to park the bus and due to poor marking by thiago motta our gameplan was out the window early in the first half. With our new found confidence in CL i think we can beat barca in the semis.

United get the easier path but its not guranteed, bayern is capable of getting a result and the french teams are strong. United imo are not the force they've been the past few years, defensively with injuries they aren't as strong and offensively they are 100% rooney dependent.

FORZA INTER, this is our year. GRANDE NERAZZURRI!

Btw, Arsenal - Barca may look good on paper but as far as I'm remember, these 'exciting' ties have always ended up disappointing. Roma met Arsenal last season and it was disappointing. Barca - Arsenal in the 06 final wasn't all that exciting either. So I'm not really creaming my pants for that.

I agree with the first point about it not being always exciting and no one really knows which Arsenal team will show up in this one. I have to disagree on the second part though.Arsenal were fantastic against a great Barca side. They played a man down if you remember for 90% of the game and only lost it from a header by Belletti i think...They were a man down and went to the wire with Barca, not many can say that.

Tsk tsk, no headers from Barca in that match :p...But, yes, it was Belletti with the winning goal...Samu with the first...Both assisted by the legendary Henke

It certainly started out a more exciting match but Lehman's foolishness really changed the complexion of that one...Hopefully, these matches will finish 11v11

Man, i would bet anyone that Barca will win with at least 4 goals more in aggregate, how can it even be debated that Arsenal's defense could hold Barca's attackers?

Same as Barcelona is deffending. By trying to keep possesion away from the other team.

If they will get close to a 50-50 in terms of ball possesion, I give them a fair chance.

Thats true.

For me the best games in CL in the last years are Chelsea-Barcelona, especially 2005 and 2009.
Also in 2005 we had a great final with 2 teams who play bad football like Liverpool and Milan.

Arsenal have a chance against Barça if they'll be able to play the same game Chelsea played last year at the Camp Nou, they frustrated Barça. I doubt the Gunners will abandon their attacking football anyway and this should favour Guardiola's team.

Arsenal don't have a chance against Barcelona. Unless the Blaugrana have some serious injury problems and issues inside the team. No other way I see Arsenal going through in that tie.

If they attack Barça full on like other attacking-minded teams have tried to do, they'll fail miserably, as Barça always manage to impose their possession football and are perfectly able to exploit the weaknesses of their defense. As I said, I believe the only way they can go through is playing a humble game, run, run, defend and close all the spaces down, under this point of view Hiddink did a tactical masterpiece last season.

Let's think about CSKA first :D

I also think Arsenal would be easier opponents than Barça but they're the type of team who could give us a lot of problems, especially due to their high-paced, passing football.

That sounds like what inter wanted to do in the group stage... doesn't it?

A lot of variables, of course, but all things being equal not sure how Arsenal bests Barca at what they do best...But that's football, all things aren't always equal.

I agree on the strategy you suggest for the Gunners...I think if they go all out to attack and try to outpass them going forward - they will pay

Alot, for me, of course depends on whether Barca are indeed now hitting their stride...Their play is definitely getting better but it can wax & wane still...There's a tough schedule ahead for Barca too, so who knows whether that will translate to them playing consistently.

Gallas' loss for the first leg will be a tough loss, IMHO...I love this, also, for the whole 'Masters vs Pupil' in the battle for midfield between Cesc & Iniesta/Xavi...Eboue & Arshavin are the x-factors for Arsenal, for me...They both can be difference makers in different ways...Love the Russian

Should be some exciting football...I love this time of year

Haven't commented the draw much since I was a bit busy yesterday.

Great draw at first for Inter. Not perfect because of the semi opponents, but let's be realistic. Before the season everything after quarter-finals is a big, big plus. Even quarter-finals is a good progress compared to Inter's recent CL-runs, and now it looks we will reach semis.

So, first match home and second away. Too bad we didn't get the home advantage, but this shouldn't be too decisive. Comfortable beating at home and then just get the needed result in Moscow. The most important thing is to get the team in right mental condition. Somehow Mourinho needs to inject the same spirit to the team he did before the second Chelsea match. Also preparations before the match need to be at the same level so that we don't give anything to CSKA for free. After all, it was Mourinho vs Ancelotti battle in Stamford Bridge which Mou won like 6-0. edit Dedication like this:

It is reported that Inter boss Jose Mourinho will fly out after tonight’s game with Palermo to watch the Moscow derby against Dynamo in person.

Generally the draw was a bit disappointing in the sense that most probable final will be the same as last year. :(:(:( I've never liked it that same teams are there year after year. Now the match chart goes other side is ManU and other side Barca, Inter, Arsenal. So three out of top4 teams of the draw got into the same side of the chart. Well you can't always get everything (we already got the rather easy opponent :) )

However, all the ties are interesting at least. Frenches against each other, Manu-Bayern, teams in pretty good form, and then of course Barcelona-Arsenal. There will be lots of interesting games indeed.
