I intended not to check the score so that I can enjoy this Bolonga match, but the stupid GuangDong commentators actually reported the score during the Man Utd match :fero:

What? So much for professionalism. :dielaugh:

I'm glad for the win but even more so for Cruz. Following a below-par performance against Milan, the crosshairs must firmly have been on him to perform. My feeling was that if he didn't score the winner today, his chance to make peace with the majority of the Interisti would have passed him by. In a way, this goal redeemed the faith the fans have in him. The win also proves that this team can bounce back from a damaging defeat. With it, the morale of the team is boosted and we can now put aside any distractions to concentrate on the most important task at hand.

What's sad though, is that the TV networks over here decided not to show the Inter game. Hell, they didn't even want to show Fiorentina - Juventus. I've got to wait till Monday night to catch a delayed telecast of Bologna - Inter. =/

Ciao,
Tim

I just finished watching the highlights, and you know what? We actually conceded another goal from set-pieces.

Tare wasn't offside when scored the goal. The offside was thanx to Beavis and Butthead who were passing to each other while they were offside. So again, we fail to clear a dead ball situation. :wallbang:

The main question is how Coco went?
Because if he did well, or atleast not badly, I'd play him against Milan because we need some attack from our full backs, and lets face it, Favalii doesn't have the speed to take advantage of Cafu's speed, and we need to capitalise on Cafu's defending.

?

Trust me, if we play with a natural winger on the left, like Kily or VDM, Favalli would play much better. I didn't see the game, I might do that tomorrow, but to know that Coco played 90 min and wasn't subbed and no major diseaster happened is pleasing nonetheless.

its a nice win. Mancini played Zemaria (who was amazing with VDM) they connected so well on the rigght hand side, we opened up their defence.

However the saddest thing is that mancini wont play him in the derby :(

Finally, Inter did not fvck up. I was saying how we must score another goal in the second half to kill this game off, but apparently, none was needed. I'm kind of glad, but also disappointed in a way that we didn't score more. But, nevertheless, it's a victory, and this should give us some confidence prior to the Euroderby.

Anyway, Cruz is definitely going to start against Milan on Tuesday, since Vieri did not even come on as a sub yesterday. So it's either going to be Cruz-Martins upfront, or the Cruz as the sole striker in a 4-5-1, like yesterday.

IT's just clear that our team plays better with pure wingers. The fullbacks have a clear role, I don't know why Mancini doesn't try that more often.

BTW, how did Coco do?

I think van der Meyde will start. Ze Maria won't, but he needs more game time.
I ask once again for someone who had coverage of the game, how did Francesco "the future Maldini" Coco go?

Coco was average, but you couldn't expect any better. He did some shoving ala Materazzi but I think it's because of his bad physical fitness

If Van Der Meyde will start on the right, then it would be Deki on the left and here we go again.. But who knows, maybe Deki won't start. He had his physical problems afterall.

Great that Andy is in form. Give him a chance. :fero:

I think Adriano+Martins will start. If not, Cruz+Martins. Cruz on his own? You're joking, Martins will play 100%. Mancio even rested him for the game.

Just watched the match and I gotta say that Van Der Meyde is simply must for tuesday match. He did so well. Kily did also ok but if you have to compare these two - Andy was still very much better. Now I'll be only content if I see Andy - Cambi - Veron - Stanko from left to right. Kily playing would be though also quite ok.

Coco also was quite good defensively for me. His crosses suck but he was secure defensively yesterday. And Matrix.. Those fouls are just unbelievable. Toldo did brilliantly though his communication with defence seems to be our problem.

Adriano - Martins. :star:
