Serie A presents the 1st match of 2020-2021
Benevento Calcio vs Internazionale Milano
When? Sunday, 20 September 2020 starting at 18:00 CET
Where? Stadio Ciro Vigorito [16.867 Seats]
Benevento is a city and comune of Campania, Italy, capital of the province of Benevento, 50 kilometres northeast of Naples.
The club was originally founded in 1929 and then re-founded in 2005. Benevento has played in Serie A, the top flight of Italian football, only once in its history, in the 2017–18 season, but will once again participate in 2020–21, having won 2019–20 Serie B.
Nickname: Gli Stregoni (The Sorcerers)
Manager: Filippo Inzaghi
The team's colors are yellow and red, and their badge features red and yellow stripes and the black image of a witch riding a broom. Benevento are nicknamed the Stregoni, Italian for sorcerers, or occasionally, the Streghe, Italian for witches, a reference to the legends dating to the 13th century of the witches of Benevento.
Dangerous team because they have cohesive unit but the difference on paper between the squads is immense: 30m vs 720m, so we should grab these initial 3 points. Line-ups are of course premature to predict now, given that both teams are active in the transfer market.
Pippo Inzaghi`s team are revamping their attack, as after Gianluca Lapadula [they agreed a €4m transfer with Genoa for centre-forward who just returned from his loan spell at Lecce], they have also reportedly done a deal for Sampdoria’s Gianluca Caprari {ex-Inter}. Deal is loan for €1.5m with an option to buy for €7.5m. That option will become an obligation to buy if the club avoids relegation back into Serie B.
Benevento: signd Glick from Monaco for 3m, very smart move - experienced Serie A defender.
Previus match: Benevento vs Inter 1-2 [Giornata 7 @ Serie A TIM 2017/18]:

* curious to see if Brozovic will be available for this one
Let`s start #WINNING! FORZA INTER!
