I dont agree with people who believe losing these or this game in particular wont affect us too much.Every game and every point counts. But by failing to take anything off Barca here we open the chance for Barca to rest players for their last game against Spurs who could very well win that and progress. The game at Wembley will be very tough.Getting a few points off Barca and ensuring they go into the last matchday needing atleast a point would be fantastic for us.

I think Icardi can definitely screw up Pique if we can get a few fast counters and give him the proper service.Ninja being out complicates this for us and i will go so far as saying him being absent is as big a disadvantage for us as Messi being out for them is.I am hoping Ninja's injury is just mindgames by us and he will miraculously appear at the Nou Camp and help us sneak in a 1-2 win with 2 troll counter goals by Icardi. But even otherwise lets hope Brozovic brings his A game out and unlocks their dfense on the counter by freeing up Perisic and Politano to feed Icardi. If we can keep them quiet at the start i can see us pulling off a surprise win here.Or maybe this is just the high from the derby and i am living in a delusional world that will come crashing down with a heavy thumping!!! Either way Forza Inter.Already so proud of what we have done this season so far and long may it continue for we have suffered so much this decade.:proud:.

It's shame that Messi won't be playing. Would have been awesome test for Inter's defense.

Don't worry, it will still be the best attack we have faced in a long, long time. Suarez, Coutinho, Dembele, Arthur, Rakitic, etc.

The player that worries me most is Coutinho. Not just the ex-player curse, but also he is quite impossible to defend against. Most of the time when he scores, the defence is not at fault.

Yeah, Barca are superb team but without Messi they will be losing their best player, best AM and best passer. Everything flows though him. Last season it looked like Barca are like any other team plus Messi. Hopefully they will be ordinary against you guys.

Still they have quality team but rest all are at least 2 levels below him. Will be a great test for defense, Brozovic will be a big miss if he is injured (read on FIF he is). He covers so much distance, you need that against teams like Barca.

We'll need Asa and Skriniar on midfield for this one. I can see De Vrij - Miranda capable of handling Suarez. But Coutinho and Dembélé who flank in and especially the threats Coutinho/Rakitic who can score from distance need to be eliminated.

-------------------- Handa
Vrsaljko ---- Miranda ---- De Vrij ----- DD
----------- Skriniar ------ Asa
Politano ------- Mr 90th Minute ---- Keita/Martinez
------------------- Icardi

Keep it solid, defend against their long shots. And try to strike on set pieces.

i respect the level of barcelona (even without messi) but they are no aliens. there are no aliens in football, it's 11 vs 11 and we are one of the best teams of Serie A. so a draw would be good, they are of course the favorite, but we can win. too bad we won't have nainggolan, for such a match where personality is so important it's a big loss.

AN UPDATE ON THE CONDITIONS OF NAINGGOLAN, PERISIC AND BROZOVIC
The Belgian midfielder underwent medical tests at the Istituto Humanitas di Rozzano. This wasn't required for the two Croatian players

MILAN – After the match between Inter and Milan, Radja Nainggolan, who had to exit the field after 30 minutes yesterday, underwent medical tests this morning at the Istituto Humanitas di Rozzano. The results confirmed that he has sprained his left ankle. The Inter midfielder’s condition will be reassessed in the coming weeks.

Medical tests weren’t required for Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic, and they will be assessed on a day-by-day basis.

We should enjoy this match. There are very few matches where we go in without any pressure. This is the first match this season where nothing is really expected from us. I hope the team feels liberated, and that can lead to good football at times.

Are we going with the gray kit or the white kit on Wednesday; been announced yet?

I would prefer the white immensely but it's not my decision to make.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Miranda feature in this game. Also wouldn't be surprised if Candreva features either. Probably wouldn't be happy about it but it wouldn't surprise me.

I'm with Spaletti in whatever line-up he chooses to go with, it's not like we've got a lot of options.

I only hope the management realises the problem we're facing, and if we're lucky enough to qualify to thd round of 16 in the CL they should feel generous and reward us with a quality midfielder in January.

The quality midfielder won't help with CL anyway as our CL list is rigged with sales-purchases balance this year.

The only possible scenario would be snatching someone on loan and leaving out Borja from CL list and including new purchase. But I doubt we can get someone free of charge. Barella? Hell no, Borja would be better in eurocups experience-wise. We are not getting Rafinha so I am not sure who can help. This new purchase, however, will help in Serie A, if we offload useless fodder like JM and GB.

Last 16 of CL this year is our realistic target and nothing more. OK, maybe if we are lucky with the draw and get Borussia or Porto or Schalke we can possibly think about quarterfinals, but I doubt that. Next year after quality transfer campaign and with full 25-man squad list is when we can seriously aim for CL semifinals or final.

Fitzed.

If we can't win the CL with the best youngest defensive pair in Europe, the most dangerous poacher in the world and the best midfielder in Serie A, then we better off playing basketball.

We're two-three players away from constructing one of the most fearful sides in Europe since 2010, the midfielder, a high quality winger and perhaps a fullback, we're that close so Suning better not fuck this up. We might not get that lucky again.

No pressure.

We also are one great coach away from contesting for CL trophy :) Someone called Zidane or Simeone.

I'd say that (with the steady finance from Suning) 2020-21 season is our best shot for winning CL. The clutch winger/playmaker is a must. You either win CL with ridiculously strong forward line (like Barca with M-S-N) or with the player who has unbelievable personal stats like CR7. The only "terrestrial squad" to win CL recently was Bayern (probably Chelsea too, but that was sort of a fluke), they even had freaking Mandzukic as their starting forward. Messi and Ronaldo are getting older and heroes of nowadays like Mbappe and Griezmann don't inspire same level of grandeur like Messi and Ronaldo or Ronaldinho in past did.

In the clash between "terrestrial" teams in a couple of years Inter with strong financial backing of Suning certainly will be a serious contender. That's why I don't wanna have Marotta in this team. After FFP SA is lifted, we immediately must snatch a real top player, not palliative shit like Berardi/Bernardeschi or Iago Aspas (insert random player). We have finance, so let's make an immediate leap not a gradual slow crawling to the top like Juventus did with him.
