Italian football journalist Riccardo Trevisani has shared his thoughts and feelings regarding Inter following on from their 1-1 draw away to Atalanta.

Antonio Conte’s side missed several chances in the match at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo and due to missing these chances they were forced to settle for a draw which only extended their poor run of form with them having now won just one of their last eight matches across all competitions.

Inter currently sit in seventh place in the Serie A standings after seven games played this season and they are currently trailing league leaders AC Milan by five points.

“Atalanta hurt you on the wings. A fortune was spent on Hakimi yet he was on the bench. He is the strongest wing-back that Inter have. Inter have problems to solve,” Trevisani explained whilst present in the studios of Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

He then went on to add: “Lukaku came on yesterday but he wasn’t up to speed. Skriniar has an important role, but it’s not like he had a great season last year.”

He then went on to criticise Conte for expecting Arturo Vidal to have killer instinct given the number of chances he has squandered. “Conte expects a killer instinct from Vidal who has missed 10 goals in 10 games and they are all very, very burdensome goals. One of Inter’s problems is their few victories but also Vidal. Against Atalanta it was one of his least bad performances.”

Don't to forget our 1 month pause without season preparation and our bad luck with the Refs... this season was over before it even started, with or without Conte. It's not an excuse to defend him but we would do better in a normal season.

Napoli don't had more then half defence with covid or half squad injured. And both teams had more time to prepare because they were out of the competitions. Just saying.
