Couldn't give a flying shit about his Juventus past. If he wins the Scudetto, his name belongs straight to the La Grande forum. The one who ends the nauseating decade long domestic dominance of the scums. What makes it even sweeter is Conte was the one who started the Juventus dynasty, and he will be the one who ends it as well. That's some classic Hollywood storytelling there.

It hasn't happened yet though. Hope we win it in the end.

if Conte wins the scudetto, he's done more for Inter than probably >99.99% of Inter fans, dunno who we are to cast the first stone in that scenario :)

i bought a couple of jerseys once, does that help

Inter is nothing without it's supporters. Imagine if nobody wants to watch Inter play football? The club would be just annihilated. So let's not underestimate our influence on football in general. ;)

His star at the Rube arena is still there. It's really fucked up situation for them which is making it even harder to maintain already contradictory narrative they have about themselves.

any nice hats around to eat?

Let's see how we go for the rest of the season, but Conte is doing very well in making me eat my words. I wanted him out in December, but we are looking like an effective machine at the moment.
Conte drove me crazy with his belated and retarded subs, I bet someone talked some sense into him. Still drives me mad that we were unable to score against Shaktar in 2 freakin` matches!
Once he started using the proper line-up (which most of us here on FIF would chose based on player quality), he got the expected results.

Inter: Conte averaged more points than Mourinho
*in Serie A :D

Antonio Conte’s Inter have averaged more points than José Mourinho’s side in 2010 and are the only team in Serie A’s history to have won the first 11 games of the girone di ritorno.

Inter have an 11-point lead over second-placed Milan, and collecting 13 points in the final eight games of the season will be enough for the Nerazzurri to claim their first Serie A title in ten years.

Antonio Conte’s side are the only team in Serie A’s history to win the first 11 games of the girone di ritorno.

They have the second-best attack in the league with 69 goals scored and the best defence along with Juventus, with just 27 goals conceded.

The Nerazzurri also have a better point average than in 2010, when José Mourinho’s Inter won the treble. The Special One averaged 2.15 points per game that season, while Conte has 2.46 this term.

Only Giovanni Trapattoni and Roberto Mancini have a better record. ‘Trap’ managed 2.47 points per game in 1988-99, Mancini 2.55 in the 2006-07 campaign.

Honestly I feel like I'm wasting two hours of my life every week.

But that's just me.
Nah, I feel you. I`ve stopped watching full games recently season because it`s boring. We basically play to restrict the other teams and make them fall asleep, only to hit on the counter.

I`m better off watching Serie A highlights TBFH, but right now I agree the most important thing is to finally land scudetto, for which I`ll be thanking Agnelli and Marotta.

Its not a problem with aesthetics, Inter have played counter attack before and we have parked the bus before, even during the treble winning era. Inter's main problem today is that we have made it look too easy, winning every time takes away from the excitement. I think Nicky Baldini summed this up nicely at the Guardian:

"If Inter have made any mistake, over the past three months, it might only have been to make this all look too easy. They are on course to ending Juventus’s run of nine consecutive Scudetti and becoming champions themselves for the first time since 2010, yet the absence of jeopardy has diminished the spectacle of this final push to the finish line. When there is no competition to speak of, some observers will seek to pick holes in a winning team instead."

Well, in what world does excitement comes only when you win by suffering. Fuck that. I don't mind if we keep winning the scudetto with 20point gap from now till judgement day.

Yeah. He's their legend while he played there. And he started their hegemony in 2010 decade. But he got to a broken relationship with Agnelli eventually and Agnelli doesn't want to have anything to do with Conte anymore. Maybe the "10 euros bill in 100 euros restaurant" got into Agnelli's pride.

Conte is a professional in the end, he's a coach who has coached multiple clubs. And he does the coaching with passion. I don't have a problem with his Juve past, it's in the past when he played and that's a long time ago.

He's putting all his effort to this project where he's now and that's enough for me (because you can't ask for more from him at this point).

So Guardiola's Man City have gathered 74 points from 32 games (67 goals) and Conte's inter did the same with 30 games only (69 goals)
but yeah Guardiola is offensive sexy football and we play like shit ugly defensive football

seems legit

Well you can get the goals by different means and we are definitely more defensively-oriented team than Manchester City.

But it is indeed just hypocritical to blame Inter right after Sassuolo match for playing defensively when that was maybe 3rd match of this season where we've parked in front of our penalty box. Stats tell a bit different story indeed, over 2 goals per game on average (only one game with no goals at all?).

And generally, we do a lot of stuff as a team. We defend with 11 players, but we also attack with many players. If it's a slow buildup, a lot of players take part in the buildup. Of course in counters it's 1-2 passes and we go fast forward, but it's not like we just defend and have some superstar up front creating goals out of nothing (tune: Mancini-juggernaught teams with Zlatan up front).

Inter are picking up points at a faster rate than any other team in Europe, a report in the Italian media highlighted today.
Tuttosport’s print edition revealed the Nerazzurri had a higher points-per-game average (2.47) than any other side in Europe’s major leagues, with 74 points amassed in 30 Serie A matches.
Manchester City have also picked up 74 points in the Premier League but Pep Guardiola’s side have played two games more than Inter, dropping their points average to 2.31.
Bayern Munich have an average of 2.32 points per game in the Bundesliga (65 points in 28 games), with Atletico Madrid on 2.23 in La Liga (67 points in 30 games) and Lille on 2.16 in Ligue 1 (69 points in 32 games).
Antonio Conte has posted almost unbeatable numbers in Serie A since his appointment as Inter’s head coach in 2019, the Turin-based paper explained.
Inter have won 47 league games since the start of the 2019-20 season, putting them second in Europe’s top five leagues behind Manchester City on 49.
Liverpool are tied with the Nerazzurri on 47 wins while Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are both just behind on 46

Agreed and Most of us could also say we’ve done our suffering too.

If we were to win the scudetto with 4 games left I would be equally as buzzing as we would be if we managed to win it on the last day. It maybe just isn’t as big a spectacle for non Interisti/ casuals/ pundits or others interested in the league

Don't know whats going on behind the scenes, but sounds like Antonio is in 100% moving forward. Finally, some stability in management, coaches and players. We should all just enjoy the ride and admire the work done by Conte. We could really be a force to be reckon with next season with a few more key additions to the squad.

Easy. Successfully defending it and putting a second star on our jerseys.

Past the group stage is a must but anything after that is optional.
