The original full metal alchemist anime wasn't true to the manga, so years down the line they did a reboot called full metal alchemist: brotherhood that was accurate to the manga.

HunterxHunter had a similar case as well.

Tokyo Ghoul is still a popular series so im sure it'll happen one day.

The last arc of HunterxHunter was really bad.

Not bad just too long.

While Tokyo Ghoul is a mess. I actually stopped watching after season one. This and Demon Slayer are a waste of time.

Demon Slayer, waste of time? The fuck have you been feeling after that vaccine shoot?

In this case making it too long is what actually made it bad. Or do you think making it too long did it good? I don't really understand what you're trying to say here

I liked the Chimera arc the least, but mostly because it was too long and it dragged for me. The progression of characters and showing eveeeerything how a Chimera empire rises is still 1A material that most mangaka wouldn't even think about.

Demon Slayer is a mash up of other animes thrown together but without cool characters. The lore is a rehash if several mangas, like Shingeki no Kyojin. The dialog is boring, the only cool thing are the visual of the fights and visuals in general. Everything else a boring mess. I even watched the movie and I'm so happy the last Gintama movie earned more than Mugen train. Jujutsu Kaisen blows it out the water.

Let's just call it a kids show. It's not HxH or One Piece level tho.

Didn't Demon Slayer break every kind of record there is in Japan? Best part of that movie is that it was continuing from the tv show. So we got like 6-7 episodes in one sitting. :slick:

"Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train," an anime film based on a popular manga series, raked in roughly $21.1 million during its opening weekend in the U.S. The feature film broke the country's box office record for biggest foreign language debut, according to distributors Funimation and Aniplex of America.

The “Demon Slayer” movie’s record-breaking run started when it opened in October. It took just 10 days for it to gross over $100 million in Japan and became the fastest film to ever hit that milestone. It has since become the highest-grossing anime and highest-grossing Japanese film of all time. “Mugen Train” closed out 2020 with the year’s fourth highest worldwide box office gross, edging out Christopher Nolan’s much-hyped “Tenet,” which came in fifth.

The “Demon Slayer” movie had grossed over $417 million worldwide even before hitting U.S. theaters (outside of a short Oscar-qualifying run), making it the first Japanese film to cross the $400 million mark. In December, it became Japan’s biggest box office hit ever, unseating Hayao Miyazaki’s beloved “Spirited Away” (2001).

Gintama isn't even close to Demon Slayer when comparing to earnings. Do you come up with facts however you like as long as you feel its correct?

I thought the Shaman King reboot was starting next month but turns out it's already on the 11th episode. I'm going to start that this weekend probably.

Just watched the Hathaway's Flash movie (Gundam). I recommend giving it a watch even if you know nothing about the series. I can't wait for the next 2 parts.

One of my friends paid for his engagement ring, wedding and Downpayment of his house by selling his old comics, Pokémon/ yugio cards, and video games.

dude has the Nintendo Gold Zelda disk still in the original box!! He also had super mertroid for super nes with box abs poster!! Like what type of self control is that. He is 30 so was like 5-6.

Any way I know you guys are all fking haters on American comic books. But I had a ton and some real good key issues. I went and got them graded. I had 2 Spiderman #300 (first venom). It came back 9.6 and 9.8 which are almost mint. I sold it for 7k on eBay which has been my biggest score so far.

so basically saying look in your garage or your parents attic and see what treasures you have.

If you think that Chimera's arc was prolonged, just read the manga afterwards 😁

I did. The unfinished arc of the manga has a lot of dialogue, but otherwise it was quite interesting. If only he was able to continue working on the manga, we'd still be praising him...but he got lost just like GRRM

HxH anime is one of the best I've ever watched. And I've watched like...way too many lol. I do understand that the ending of the longest arc is extremely controversial but I absolutely loved it. I even shed a tear for it.

Demon Slayer is nothing out of this world but for me it's just a real feel good anime. Think of it like a classic hamburger done very well. Gotta say the anime is much better than manga, the execution is just so good.

Surprised Attack on Titan isn't mentioned much in this thread tbh, definitely worth the watch, especially how the series concluded. It feels different compared to your usual manga.

Hopefully he'll resume. But the manga's art turned me off hugely. As big of a fan as I am of the anime, I just can't be fucked to read the manga. Hopefully 5-10 years from now, the manga would be finished and there will be the anime. :D

Shingeki no kyojin has horrible art, especially the first volumes, too.

Everybody knows about Shinkegi no kyojin, I'm still trying to get people to watch funny shows like Gintama, Nichijou and Sket Dance

Attack on Titan didn't start off great for me, but over the seasons became better and better. Last season pissed me off though, I waited all that time thinking this is it and now have to wait again for the next part of the 'final season'.

Finally on the 5th season of My Hero Academia now. I didn't think I'd end up loving the anime as much as I have, but I'm not a fan of the second half of season 4 though with a lot of the focus being on Eri and the whole fan festival story trying to get her to 'smile' 🤮

I feel bad for saying this, but I regret giving ALL my Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh collections to charity all those years ago man 😅.

And I didn't even have those shitty GX and later gen cards either, it was all when the trading cards first came on the scene yeeaars ago when I had a lot of first gen cards, decks, limited edition collectors tins, packs etc. I had god cards and shit too, but I don't think those are worth much as 1st gen Pokemon cards are. Now I'm broke as fuck thinking I could have done with the money.

I started collecting 1st and 2nd gen Pokemon cards a year before Pokemon Go came out, so 2015 I think? Prices were really cheap back then, Pokemon Go made them go up. Now they're roughly 80% more lol. I still have all of them but I'm really upset for passing on stuff like base set Charizard because I didn't want to fork out $50-100 for one a year or two ago.

My small collection is worth a pretty penny all together but I find it hard to get rid of every time I flip through the binder.
