What do you mean? That players would come in with cheaper valuation compared to normal transactions?

I feel like swaps are extremely rare. We need to want certain player from Chelsea and we need that player to come to Inter.

Chelsea has intention to create plusvalenza themselves. A lot of it, so valuations won't be low I assume.
Well, two things i think

1 - If Chelsea have to sell Mendy, we sell Onana, and then we sign (say) Vicario, that's 3 negotiations. It takes a lot of time, that's not fast like it is in FM. A swap would save both us, and Chelsea time - and I think both of these clubs will be time restrained this transfer window given the volume of players who are leaving/joining

2 - Swaps will help both clubs with some much needed plusvalenza. If we say Onana is fair value 60mil, Mendy is 20mil, then Onana = Mendy + 40mil and we say Onana was sold for 70m, Mendy for 30m, everyone walks away happy. Of course, its important not to do what Juve did and (a) go too far on valuation, (b) write down that you're deliberately inflating valuations for capital gains

I'm not saying necessarily Mendy is the right answer, but if we think we'd be happy with him, then its not a terrible idea imho

I think the salary of Mendy is also a big factor here.

Yeah sure.

I still find swaps very hard since it limits the player pool we are targeting drastically. Of course if everything works well and the Chelsea player wants to move to Inter, then why not.

In this case Mendy is a poor example since I seriously doubt we would want him to replace Onana.

Inter have rejected Chelsea’s first concrete offer for goalkeeper Andre Onana but negotiations will continue after the Champions League final, reports suggest.

TMW details how the Blues are seriously interested in picking up the 27-year-old Cameroonian shot stopper this summer, ready to replace Edouard Mendy and find a new long-term number one.

Onana has already reportedly agreed personal terms with Chelsea but the club’s first offer to Inter – around €40m – has been rejected by the Serie A side, who are paying full focus to the Champions League final against Manchester City.

Talks will continue next week after the final and Romelu Lukaku could be included in the discussions. The Belgian striker has no intention of returning to work with Mauricio Pochettino and could play an important role in the talks with the Premier League side.

Should Onana depart this summer, Inter would look to sign Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario to replace him. The 26-year-old shined in Tuscany this season and looks ready to make the jump to a top side.
40 mln is a joke, make it 80mln.

40 million is a joke tbh. Chelsea spend 100 million fees for a bunch of unknown / unproven players half a year ago, so they better raise that transfer fee for Onana by a lot or add a player that has a real value, not like Mendy. I would accept Koulibaly, Loftus-Cheek or Chalobah as the counterpart.

I deserted you guys during the banter area, and I am not worthy to come back for such a major event.

I am just praying that he performs better than any other GK in the history of CL finals. He is going to be our most important player today.

Don't worry. Not everybody has time to be on FIF during work or while watching games.

No way can Inter afford to let him go, under 80M, so we can spend 8M of it!

I think he is indispensable for how the team play. And there is only a handful in the world who can do what he does with his feet from that position. Even Ederson from the other side of the pitch was no match.

It's time to serious. Onana must not for sale for fucking Zhang Jindong!

He has bravery soul and Inter should give Onana the best people around him.

Loved his talk with Lautaro after the game, some people on social media think he was berating him(?!) but to me it was obvious he was consoling him.
