from 96's ish.... other than Ronaldo, Seedorf, Šimič, Baggio, Djorkaeff and some others I dont really remember much of the 90's Inters, as i rarely watched full games and only saw higlights on a Croatian show that would show top 5 league highlights.

I was thinking of putting Zanetti as a DM, but i really cant remember any great LB we had. Only Chivu comes to mind, but i dont really think he was that great. There were a lot of CB's to consider, from Cordoba to even Skriniar and De Vrij, but i think Materazzi's 06,07 seasons were on another level. Most thinking gave me the attack... There are way too many names for just 2 spots. Ibra, Vieri, Eto'o or even that 05/06 Adriano could have made the list, but i went with Ronaldo who was pretty much unstoppable in his first season and Milito who scored an important goal in all the big 3 games of 2010.

Since the depature of Roberto Carlos the only decent lb we had was Maxwell. The rest were disasters. From Gresko, Coco, Pasquale and Brechet to Favalli, Grosso, Wome and the legends of the banter era. 😬

As for Chivu, till the head injury he was a pretty good defensive lb but post 2010 he was pretty poor. Sadly he never returned to the level prior to his injury.

Even the great Roberto Carlos was just about decent at Inter (good at attacking, poor defensively). I remember most of us thought he was too defensively weak to make it as an LB in Serie A those days despite being very likeable, and weren't surprised after he was sold after 1 season. I wouldn't name him as a successful LB at Inter. He found his groove in La Liga and became a great at Real Madrid.

We have not had a great LB since Brehme despite signing a significant number of LBs in the last 30 years. A series of flops after flops since then. Chivu & Maxwell were ok at best, LB was still our weakest position during their days. Perisic (albeit not a LB, but as a LWB) is perhaps the best we have had in this position since Brehme.

Would you say Fachetti could be considered our best ever LB?

really surprised at some these lists.

Barella hasn't done enough to be in the all time greatest, Kovavic...and Lukaku really?

I can't do a best lineup of all time, but i may do one from 2002 (since Ronaldo left) until now.

2002-2022

------------*------Milito--------------
------------------Sneijder-------------------
------------Cambiasso-Brozovic-----------
Zanetti-Skriniar-Samuel-Cordoba-Maicon
-------------------Toldo------------------------

* is really hard, if we consider number of goals may be Icardi. Adriano is terms of impact. Eto'o won tripleta. Vieri also scored many... Lautaro/Lukaku may be the present. But we all agree Milito should be there for sure.

hands down

He's a top 5 LB of all time with Maldini, Breitner (if he counts), Nilton Santos and maybe the next one is Roberto Carlos, but I'd take Andreas Brehme :) That's 3/6 for Inter [and 4/6 for Serie A], which is absurd given how bad we are at picking left backs

Some are kids or are new to Inter.

I would have gone with Vieri but you eliminated 1999-2002 which were his beast years, with the 2002-3 being the only other prime Vieri season.

Depending on how you measure this, I suppose Icardi can be ruled out due to being part of a team that never won, Adriano loses out due to longevity, Eto'o was here for 2 years only so not sure if he can count.

The sensible answer has to be Zlatan Ibrahimovic there :D

can't agree on Milito being there. Gave us the best season ever but that was that. On an individual level Ibra and Eto'o surpassed him for sure

My feeling about Ibrahimovic is that we would have won exactly the same without him. Biggest rival was Roma after all, and we did shit in CL with him

????? Do you not remember the last game of the season having to sub on an injured Ibra away to Parma to win us the league?

Also horrible logic, you judge a player by what he done on the pitch not by if we had won without him or not

Before my time, but from history it definitely looks like it. Zanetti and Facchetti should be among the first few names in any all-time Inter list.

In my time, the best LB at Inter was Brehme.

People putting players that you didn’t watch week in week out doesn’t sit right with me. Sure we can watch a few clips and read what others have said about them but having Brehme here making it seem like he watched every single minute of Facchetti makes no sense

Inter had/have so many great players so every answer will be highly subjective. Most proper name thread might be "YOUR best Inter eleven so far")))) Anyway i came up with a such team:

Handanovič; Maicon, Škriniar, Samuel, J.Zanetti; Brozović; Sneijder, Cambiasso;Ibrahimović ; Ronaldo de Lima, Eto'o ; Diego Milito
