There’s no way he renews. I would be shocked and elated. There’s a big contract offer coming his way soon if it isn’t already there.

He is the only reason I think we should keep playing 3ATB, that moment when you have both him and Dimarco on the left side + Mlhitaryan or Calhanoglu to build an attack has to be such a headache for opponent's defence.

And he is so good defensively, I love Bastoni's game.

Bastoni's game has slightly regressed this season. He's been part of the misery in our defence, and also offensively he's a shadow to what he has been in previous seasons. He's still far from an issue, but individually he's not the same player he was under Conte for example. He's still a great player for us, but before a while ago he was just excellent.

Bastoni's defensive game looks worse this season because Dimarco leaves him exposed while he had a defensive monster (Perisic) in front of him last season.

If it wasn't for the supersayian block on his header everyone here would be singing a different song.

Bastoni is solid, plus he is a rare player we have who isn't prone to mental mood swings and who is always switched on. Post above says it all, 3atb is no joke when your wingbacks aren't great at defending. It's naive to underrate what he brings to the table.

Liverpool have made Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni a target to reinforce their defense during the summer transfer window.
This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Reds have been looking at the 23-year-old as a potential signing ahead of next season in addition to his teammate Nicolo Barella.
Liverpool are keen to strengthen significantly during the upcoming summer transfer window, with the team’s recent 5-2 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League only highlighting the extent to which new signings are needed to add quality all over the pitch.
The backline was exposed in the loss to the Merengues, and according to the Gazzetta, Bastoni is among the players who the Premier League giants are considering as a possible target to strengthen in the summer.

Don’t think necessarily Perisic leaving, more so his replacements. He’s struggling massively at Spurs when he was the best player for us last season. Now that may say a lot about the discrepancy between the 2 leagues but what’s affecting us the most is that his replacement DiMarco is a terribly overrated player who has no sense of awareness

We obviously cannot give Bastoni that kind of salary. Hopefully that's not a request he's not willing to come down.

I hope see him here a long time but I think he would do the same as Skriniar did so we should consider selling him before he leaves here for free.

Why should he? Realistically he will receive 8 mill offer from other clubs. Now he loves us so he’s willing to accept 6mill…..but why should he accept half?

wish they could offer a contract like "4.5M - under current circumstances, 6M- in case of reaching the CL final"
not only to Basto, but to all other key players whose contracts are to run out as well

Bastoni is getting a little bit too high and full of himself. Sorry but I wouldn't give him 6m a season just yet. I really hope he's willing to lower his asking salary, otherwise I'd show him the door though.

Why would he? I hope he likes it in Milano too much so he's not gonna go abroad to earn that kind of money.

Realistically only PSG could PERHAPS offer such contract but I doubt given they would have to buy him. EPL clubs won't offer such salary to Bastoni. He's not a star player in their perspective.
