How it's possible this fucking Saudis keep buying teams like Newcastle and they are not interested in Milan or Inter, which are much more prestigious clubs.

They are certainly interested but Suning's asking price is way too delusional. Just because they have a lot of money doesn't mean they'll spend like lunatics, which is apparent in the way they've been managing Newcastle Utd.

Once Oaktree seizes Inter they'll probably manage the club for a transitional period before flipping it to PIF or some other such entity.

Alessandro Bastoni is asking for around €5 million net per season to extend his contract, whilst the Nerazzurri are offering wages of €4-4.5 million net per season on a new deal

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that there is still some distance to be made up in negotiations with the 23-year-old as the Nerazzurri are determined to fall within the parameters of an agreement with UEFA.

Inter are keen to make rapid progress in contract talks with Bastoni, as they do not want to see the 23-year-old go into the final season of his deal, which expires at the end of June 2024, without an extension.

Honestly I don't see the benefit of nurturing young players anymore unless we follow another policy i.e. a selling club. They always want too high salary too soon; youth does not mean long service anymore if we could not afford 1 or 2 extensions, doesn't it?

I don't think bastoni is a great defender. He's brilliant in a back 3 but I have doubts of him in a back 4. So signing on bastoni needs to mean committing to a back 3 for the foreseeable. Is that going to be the case, especially at star player wages?

In a back 4 i think he would be great as a lb, both defensively and offensively. But even as a cb he looks pretty good for Italy. I don't think we would have any issues with Bastoni when it comes to formations.
