Wijnaldum is awesome, deserved goal for him

Brazil suck  .. Even though Holland were fortunate with a lot of decisions, they deserved it

Curious to see what Scolari will say today... I hate his guts, so full of himself and it's not like he's successful to afford to be cocky in a good way, completely unlikable.

Van Gaal is really awesome. Netherlands haven't conceded a goal in the KO rounds in 4 games and 2 of those was 120 mins. They played against Brazil and Argentina too.

This is even more impressive when your main CB is Vlaar and all the defense is from Dutch league.

Apples and oranges.

1) can you play back 3 in club football, let alone in epl where there are a lot of fast wingers

2) robben's individuality is 90% of their offense

By what ive heard van gaal is always better the second season, so hopefully they give him time to adjust

But it becomes instantly less impressive if you consider that Argentina plays super defensive and has problems to score, Brazil was not motivated at all and was the worst playing Brazil I've seen for a while and Costa Rica was one of the most defensive teams ever. And they conceded against mexico didn't they?

Last time Brazil lost two consecutive games was in 1940.

It's not about back 3 or 4. It's about organizing your team.
ManUtd attack >>> Netherlands attack. So we won't be relying on single player.

Yeah the expectation levels are very high now, so looks like many ManUtd fans will be disappointed. Hopefully he gets the time needed to build team.

Pretty goal by Wijnaldum, wish we had scored some like those against Argentina, but whatever. Too late.

Undefeated on a WC (seeing how they don't count losing after ET or pens), made Brazil belong to the prestigious group of 3 countries who incassed 12 goals or more with Iran and some other country, got nearly the least goals against and won a medal. Incredible performance from a new group that was expected to be knocked out in the group.

Time to let te kids grow while veterans will go and get better and better in coming tournaments. Fantastic WC & I'm satisfied.

Germany was the worthy world champion this WC though, they are even better... also much more experienced etc.

On to EC 2016...

When was the last time Brazil and Argentina didn't score a goal? I'm sure it was long back.

Costa Rica scored 3 against Uruguay and 1 against Italy. They played to their strengths. However you look 1 goal in 4 games is very very impressive when 2 went to penalty shoot out and 2 was against Brazil and Argentina.

Brazil-Mexico: 0-0

Edit: Argentina-Rumania 0-0 18.11.2013

although I agree: not conceding in 3 games in a world cup is pretty good, but not as impressive as you make it out to be.

Yeah because 1 year with Moyes in charge means they are useless now when the year before we had the chance to score 100 league goals but took foot off the gas as we won league so easily.
