Huge comeback by Italy volleyball against Japan. Down 2 sets and 24-21 in the 3rd set and still managed to win 3-2. Japan literally needed a point to finish the game.

Scottie Scheffler man. What a machine. Dude looked dead to rights heading into Sunday and still wins the gold.
Fuckin knew he would clutch the bastard, was rooting for matsuyama he did well getting a medal. know nothing about the sport and enjoyed the hell out of it. Rahm was great shame he kinda blew it at the end.

Duplantis is a legend, with 6.25m new world record on males pole vault on third and final attempt and win gold, 30cm over second place, one of all time greatest olympians and athletes. Not really many get close to his excellence.

Keely also finally won her 800m Olympic Gold

Apparently the Swedish guy is born and raised in Louisiana and went to LSU. He choose Sweden because they offered his dad as role as a coach. And his dad is the American parent. Interesting.

His brother is also a really good baseball player and lead LSU in career hits.

How the hell did synchronized swimming become a thing? Like seriously how was this invented? Did somebody loose a dance battle and go oh yeah but i can do it better in deep water, screaming watch this while he or she gracefully dives into the water?

Edit: The canadians doing their routine to Ice Cube and Snoop what the hell is this sport?

I basically can't respect any of the sports the Chinese win all their golds in. Synchronized diving. Ping pong. Synchronized swimming. Artistic swimming.

Good for them, I guess.

I thought artistic swimming was the new name for synchronised swimming. Had no idea that they're separate sports.

I had no idea that half-court basketball was an Olympic sport.

There are many sports that lots of us don't know or care about or wouldn't be interested in watching, but are followed by tens of millions. Like badminton or some of these weird new things.

Then there are those that deserve to be followed by a shit ton more people like handball or volleyball (fast paced, great tempo etc).

And then there are some that you wonder why they're not in the Olympics.

Why since beach volleyball a thing, don't we have beach football and beach handball which are also rather popular around the world?
Futsal would definitely be a great one to have sometime soon

I'm pretty sure the most boring sport could make its way in (referring to Cricket) since it carries a lot of popularity globally in terms of population at least. We got Golf in and it's not even a sport, so what the hell?
Just don't let Netball become a thing...

Oh and did they actually have a Breakdance event? Not sure if they followed through with that.

Handball is a great sport.

My understanding is the problem with cricket is scheduling a two week tournament is close to impossible.

I'm just glad baseball is rightfully returning in 2028.
