Not really the winner I hoped for, but not surprised that he pulled it out… he is just always there when it matters. Impressive Jacobs got top 5 after an injury plagued period and with what looked like an minor injury

But also a stark reminder that none of these guys are anywhere near the past great. 9.79 is only in top 50 of the fastest 100m ever run and that with better track and shoes, training and diet… But perhaps it’s an indicator that they might also be cleaner and not doped as in the past
