This seems somewhat vague as there's no definition of what would constitute a heavy individual spend. I think we all accept there's little prospect of us seeing Lukaku levels of cost, but if we are genuinely interested in some of the players we are linked with then they are going to be in the 30-35m range.

That`s also my thought. Probably a player in 25-35m range and other free agents or kids.
Luckily we have the standard formation (hopefully Mikhi and Acerbi can play one more year), but as always the depth must be address.

Hakan is also our primary penalty taker and dead ball specialist. I wonder who should take our penalties if Hakan leaves this summer and Stanković comes in

Also, Asllani probably starts over Stanković in this case. Or Sučić.
