Joao Felix admitted that Milan's neighbourhood rivals, Inter, had also shown interest in a deal, but having already started negotiations with the Rossoneri, he wasn't about to change his mind.

"Yes, my agent told me about it,” Felix revealed. "He said that Inter was interested. But I had already started talking to Milan, and I had already decided to come here. I said it would have been impossible, I had already made up my mind."

This is the same Inter that could've had Dybala instead of our other constantly injured brethren on the bench. We have some fumbles.

It wouldn't hurt getting somebody else with pace, right now only Thuram has some pace of all of our 5 strikers. If I had to choose a player from Serie A, I would say Lookman, but he is 27, which might be too old for Oaktree (also high price I guess)

Anyway can't wait for the season to end already, this transfer window is going to be the real season

Signing Castro in a deal that involved part-exchanging Asslani would be killing two birds with one stone.

But is Castro really good or is he good just because he isn't 32+ years old?

We kinda need another star player for attack. While I don't mind revitalizing our attack, he can't be the marquee signing if we really want to compete in all competitions.

I wouldnt mind a backup towering forward like Lucca that can actually score headers . 11 goals, 5 headers, 5 right foot, penalty

Arnautovic is slow , has mentality issues, scored 1 header yesterday.

But Udinese rightfully wants premium cash, but Beppe could convince anyone, maybe get the price down by inserting a youth player.

He's an interesting profile.

Castro makes sense because he would not arrive expecting to be first choice, but has the immediate potential to challenge Lautaro and Thuram for that role. All I can say is that I like what I have seen of him (though would like to see a bit more). He seems decent in the air and around a third of his goals are headers, he's quick over short distances rather than lightning fast and he seems deceptively strong and can hold the ball up well under pressure - something Lautaro and Thuram are not great at.

I think what I like best is his good technique in congested areas offering the opportunity to drop into a number 1o role or wider - what Correa used to be good at. Plus he's 21 and with theoretically a lot of development ahead of him. The big Lecce forward also being linked is a player I really don't know enough about to have an opinion on.

What speaks against Castro for me, is his age actually.

He is only 20 and its crucial for him to get fairly regular minutes to develop or he might stagnate and waste a year, compared to lets say a 22/23 year old with abit more development and experience under his belt.

If Inter really wants him, it might actually be better to make a deal in the summer where he is left at Bologna for next season to develop abit more and then do something else with the attack for next season.

If castro just gets Taremi-esque minutes, there is good chance he wont develop much considering his young age and then its basically a wasted season for him and the club.

In Lautaros first season he got about 1300 minutes in the league. I would like something similar for Castros first season, but im not convinced he good enough yet (or Inzaghi patient enough) to warrant that given Inters ambitions. When Lautaro joined Inter, we were dog crap and could better afford to give him minutes, this is not the case anymore.

The point is that if he doesnt perform up to expectations, he wont get enough minutes to develop and his season could potentially be wasted development wise.

They way Lautaro performed in his first season back then, he certainly would not get 1300+ minutes in the current Inter based on his performance back then and with Inters current ambitions thats for sure. Getting a fair amount of minutes in his first season has likely been key to Lautaros fairly rapid development at the club.

i want 3 backup forwards: 1 a tall fuck who can be an aerial threat or pure finisher classic 9 kind of striker. 2 someone with pace or who can dribble, wing/ss kinda guy. 3 young prospect or a pensioner.

I won't compare Lautaro's situation to Castro's, since we were playing with a lone striker back then and now we're playing with 2 upfront. The way Lautaro peformed in his first season, he would get even more playing time now that there are two spots upfront instead of just one.

Anyway, I would gladly replace all three of Taremi, Arna and Correa with Castro and Esposito brothers (or one of them + Carboni) for the next season. Somewhere somehow we have to change something and rejuvenate the squad and this summer is the best time to do this imo.

Also Lautaro's playing time was aided from the situation with Icardi when he became the only option in attack. Till middle February Lautaro had just 5 starts in Serie A and 600 minutes.

Where will the money come from? at best we'll have a zero, not a negative balance on the transfer, to get Castro, we have to give them Esposito or Carboni, or even both.

A useful third choice forward is guaranteed 25 minutes every game off the bench, plus starting a few CL group games, Coppa Italia matches and games against lower-end Serie A sides before big European games. Then you can expect the strikers ahead of you to pick up injuries which opens up more gametime too.

What money? Espositos are ours if Empoli doesn't make the Sebastiano's deal permanent. There'll be only Castro to think about, which the latest report says we've offered Asllani + 15m for him.

If this is true, then we won't need 40-50m in cash to make this deal happen.
