We are not. The only consideration to spend 30-35 millions will be on Nico Paz if we could have that opportunity from Real.

For a defender, almost impossible. Its gonna be max 15M€ valuation, 25-28 years old with a good Serie A experience.

Huijsen is expensive. Either PSG or Real Madrid / Atletico.

A good enough CB must be a priority before Paz. Don't go buy Paz until the CB transfer is locked

Solet is good when i've seen him but he plays on the left - do we need another left-sided CB or would he move to the middle? His main positive is his attacking and intensity so i doubt he'd be the middle CB and they cant move Bastoni there so..?

I would love if we broke even on Pavard and gave Bisseck a shot. Used that money for a CB in the the middle that is top class. I dont think starting CB especially for a team like us that isnt a top CB makes sense.

I think Pavard, Bisseck, Zielinski, Zalewski, Josep Martinez, Asllani, Frattesi, Arnautovic, and Taremi have a chance to consider their career by leaving Inter. 2026 World Cup is the reason for that. Maybe they want more starting XI in the new club.

Do you have inside knowledge? A close relative to Marotta perhaps?

Well I think exactly opposite. Nico Paz is Bellingham vol2 when Dortmund signed him. This guy will be a huge star for either us/ Real and Argentina. He could be trained to be in Mikhy's spot and he will score and assist. Big aerial threat too because of his height.

You can always find a CB like Soulet or Koni DW from Genoa and strike a reasonable deal.

Bro we are not gonna sign a defender, who has been praised weekly in EPL , when Real Madrid is targeting him, for 60 million euros.

No way. Marotta just 24hrs ago said big spending is done in calcio. Only Juve can do it ( and fail) . 2025 , 2026 is all about getting the costs down be it transfer spend or wages.

Huijsen has also been making all kinds of comments recently praising former Madrid defenders and such, he was linked to a move with Madrid years ago but chose Juventus to continue his development, he's already in the Spanish national team, so my best guess is either a move in the Premier League, or Madrid/Bayern if those clubs are interested. I doubt he's coming back to Italy except to play Champions League away games.

No chance for Huijsen although I am curious as to how he ended up going to Bournemouth for so little and more glamorous teams were not interested. I remember him going on loan to Roma last season and getting a lot of plaudits there, including scoring a brilliant goal.

He also made a plenty of costly mistakes that resulted in goal conceding, that is the reason Juve so quickly sold him for peanuts. They saw him not being ready for first team, because they are obsessed for scudetto.

Juve getting owned in transfer market is good to see though.

First they sell low and then the next club sell said player for 5x more. Then incoming transfers. They spent 100 mils and got 2x current Frattesis. They have given Fiorentina 150 millions and got a pack of sea salt for it.

Show me where Marotta says this. How is spending big finished when we’ve just seen Juve spend over 100 Million on two midfielders alone - thats besides thuram conceicao and whoever else they signed.

I just don’t get why people think Inter can’t compete for a 50M player when Madrid and co. are involved. If it was an open price id get it. But this is a release clause.

We have great things to offer:
- Great Manager
- Great System
- Guaranteed Minutes
- UCL Football
- Trophies

Keeping competitiveness high: looking for promising young people and maintaining a top line...

"You have to be pliant. At this moment in history in Italy, companies are being modeled after a reference model of European sports. In this case, Italy is not the Eldorado of the 1990s. Today there is no possibility of spending and one has to make a virtue of necessity and be good at making a strong and competitive team without forgetting sustainability, which must always be achieved and sustained. "

Translated from FcInter1908.it

This is Marotta telling that for 60M€ you can buy 3 (maybe 4 if you're lucky ) promising players that can do the job and its new Oaktree's guidance.

We have been in red since Moratti days and we are almost net positive this summer or next . We will probably spend, but do it prudently . Transfers like Sucic and still keep an eye on free transfers. This is Beppe's repertuaire. He would probably find 0 excitement when working under a Sheikh, but enjoyed all the years under Suning , because he had to give 110% attention and focus to crawl out from the neck deep shit we were swimming.

So thinking about this, in the last 25 years...

Rejected Real Madrid to join Inter:
- Ivan Cordoba
- Cristian Chivu
- Ricardo Quaresma (people tend to forget this one)
- Christian Eriksen (Zidane factor)
- Marcus Thuram (oh yes)
- Benjamin Pavard

Rejected Inter to join Real Madrid:
- Cicinho (thank fuck)
- Casemiro
- Eder Militao
(granted that for years we weren't in a position to target certain players that Real Madrid was targeting)

Left Inter for Real Madrid:
- Ronaldo
- Mateo Kovacic

Left Real Madrid for Inter:
- Clarence Seedorf
- Esteban Cambiasso
- Walter Samuel
- Santiago Solari
- Luis Figo
- Wesley Sneijder
- Achraf Hakimi

Rejected Real Madrid to stay at Inter:
- Javier Zanetti
- Adriano
- Diego Milito
- Mauro Icardi
- Marcelo Brozovic
- Nicolo Barella
(iirc Maicon wanted to move but Moratti blocked it)
[will soon add Alessandro Bastoni to this list as Real Madrid is preparing a summer bid]

Rejected Inter to stay at Real Madrid:
- Nacho?
(heck, even Modric had agreed terms but Perez blocked it  )

overall might have missed a couple, but still... from 2000 till today. Panucci to Inter misses out for a few months as well.

Point of this?
We are Inter. We look at a club like Real Madrid in the eye, money or not.

That’s exactly what I mean, many times I read here.. “Chelsea want him its over for us”, “Prem clubs we have no chance”. That’s really undervalueing the club. We have A LOT to offer besides money.

I completely understand if someone wants an unrealistic amount of wages or if the fee is astronomic. But this case right here isnt. The price is fair and I doubt we can’t get close to the wages other clubs would offer.
