K.Thuram is your run-of-the-mill box-2-box midfielder, i cant imagine him ever be able to replace Hakan or become a DLP/regista.

So is he more like Barella or Mkhi?

There is rumour we will take Rabiot on free transfer if he leave Juve.

How many midfield we need? Bare, Calha, Miki, Zielinski, Frattesi, Asllani, and then Rabiot?

I've always wanted a player of Rabiot's profile. Someone whom is technically good, but also physically strong. But I don't think his transfer makes any sense though, there's already Hakan, Barella, Mkhi and now Zielinski whom are all starting material players. And then we have Frattesi whom is getting regular minutes, and is also expected to play even more.

Whenever Rabiot is in negotiations with Juve over a new contract Italian media throw Inter's name. Just the usual bs in the end he rejected Inter to stay with gobbi. There's nothing with Rabiot.

Unless there's a big sale in midfield we're set for next season.

Rabiot would make sense next season when Mkhitaryan would be drifting out of contention to leave robust competition between the Frenchman and Zielinski. But not this season.

rabiot salary demands are expectedly high outside our range isn’t it? although would be good to add physicality for the midfield

daichi kamada is also in some sort of contract negotiation with lazio in which no agreement will result to him becoming free agent. he could be an options for midfield, might suit inzaghi system better with his range of passing, through ball and long range shot

I wanted Kamada here. I think Inzaghi would make him vice-Mkhitaryan and he would take over next season.

This is another De Vrij or Calhanoglu situation. If he becomes a free agent, he would fit us like a glove.

/and now somebody will post his numbers and say he isn't even that good

Sarri didn’t want him and used him in uncomfortable position tbh, he preferred Guendouzi plus Alberto in ball control, Kamada is good at playing behind strikers and carrying the ball, sort of Mkhi.

But I cannot see him fitting in our squad next season anyway and he seems to be demanding.

Kamada had the unilateral option to extend his Lazio contract by 2 years, which he last minute rejected in order to join Crystal lol...

Marotta would never give him 5M/season (1 more than Zielinski?), especially after such a poor season in Serie A.

Don't have one.
Kamada was shockingly bad with Lazio last season. Let him go.
Under sarri yes, under tudor no. Tudor even mentioned he would like to have 11 kamadas on the pitch. He's made a major resurgence when tudor came, to the point that there are rumors today tudor will resign after this deal fell apart. He considered him a focal point for the next season.

why not?

kamada is free. still young at 27 years old and could compete for minutes against mkhi and barella. not like frattesi or zilenski guaranteed to suddenly perform well in the coming season anyway. would be stupid if we did not consider such opportunity. our midfield (calha, mkhi, barellla) are too settled and i think bringing kamada could inject something different to the midfield style to refresh our play to be a bit less predictable. plus he is cheap.

the only attraction from crystal palace is his previous manager. we had CL to offer. marrota, show some mahic here please..

Kamada feels like a poor men's Lampard in some sense, but more modernized, not sure if he is the type we would need now.
Like better than Frattesi in the build up play, but I cannot see him deputize any one of our trio midfielders.

Also I won't call him creative. I rather have Fabbian back if I consider the salary as well.

This makes a lot of sense.

Tudor's football is very different from ours I would say.

I see no point signing kamada. He would be behind all of barella, mkhi, frattesi and Zielinski.

The only area in midfield where we could consider doing something is a better backup DLP then asllani. But I don't see anyone better who would be willing to sit behind Hakan for 90% of the season.
