I feel good about this. We were correct in our approach towards the club last summer, as was Bento. I think 20mil is fair considering they were asking 15 last year and we seemed willing to meet it.

This one is going to hurt, boys.
Sky Sport Italia, Tuttomercatoweb and more believe a deal is done for €18m, the price-tag set by today’s news that Di Gregorio was named Serie A Goalkeeper of the Season for 2023-24.

Not really… he ain’t really all that fantastic… fine but also not spectacular, in a better generation no big team would even consider him as a first GK… but it dos say something about the current crops of GK in Italy.
He is absolutely great, the best in the league, and the stats back it up. At one point (not sure now), he had the best statistical output on Whoscored out of any goalkeeper in Europe playing for a side that finished 12. For instance, Buffon played for a better team in Parma before switching, but I wouldn't say he was at that point better than Di Gregorio is now (though younger).
I'm very sure we'll majorly regret going after a - in relative terms - unproven brazilian-league player instead of a homegrown who should be within our reach.

Also, current crop consists of three great starting keepers in 'top clubs'; Vicario in Tottenham, Donnarumma in PSG, Di Gregorio. You could possibly add Meret. Which country is better off, exactly? Brazil with Allison and Ederson? France has Maignan, Germany has Ter Stegen and a broken down Neuer. Spain's starting keeper plays for Athletic, but you can add Raya.
I don't think Italy is losing out in any comparisons here.

Why? Because we're gonna see a talented player of our primavera playing for one of our biggest rivals? Been there, done that. Not the first time Inter don't realize what they have in their hands.
What other primavera products have actually made it into
Juve may I ask?

Bonucci hardly qualifies as true primavera as we first started developing on him around 18, making him questionable especially as we first owned him from 19 years of age.

We had a few mediocre ones going in the direction of Roma and Milan and a nutcase but that’s about it in the past 24 years.

You have to go back to Pirlo and he was a Brescia youth product

Reality the amount we produced of note the past 24 years are not exactly impressive, what we have produced that actually went to such team I doubt most actually care all that much about
