Agree to some extent, but shouldn't he really be chosen before Gags as a sub? If nothing else to increase his exchange value as you astutely indicate.
I don't think the coach at the time cares about these things. Obviously he felt like Gagliardini was a better option than Asllani when you want to defend a lead and have someone chase opponents and perhaps win some defensive headers.

I mean, Asllani cannot do any of that, whereas Gagliardini in theory can. He's not very good at it of course.

Lol, watching Gags "defend" against Napoli recently was terrifying in an amusing way. I think Asllani could probably cover in defense however the risk of a late penalty with him would increase. Gags wouldn't be that risk, cause he can't cover at all.

what did we even do with the 15 million used it for the Lukaku wages/Loan? Gags would have left for free with us paying his wages or with a golden handshake. His next team will not pay him 1/3rd of what we do so he isn't going to accept a move unless Italy was in the WC and he had a chance to make the roster but some players prefer the money like Vecino.

Issue is none of our players are worth any money and wages are insane. We should have a salary cap. I know multiple players want extensions. We kind of have to draw a line in the sand. If that means some guys go it means some guys go. We can break that rule for a guy like Barella and Skriniar but I wouldn't for anyone else

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Gagliardini was fucking horrible with his positioning time to time against Napoli. But it's also true that in coach's perspective throwing a kid like Asllani is not the way to go when you have seasoned guy like Gags there, in a match like that. But Inzaghi should definitely use Asllani in lesser matches.

When it comes to developing players, Inter is not a place for dat shit. Coach picks the best players he thinks will do the tasks he wants to be done, I don't think management has any say in who will play and how much.

I agree with the why we don'ts but when you have no money at some point you have to try the youngsters. Maybe in the Coppa upcoming matches like eluded to by @Universe in the Monza match thread is the correct approach. However, my level of comfort of subbing on Gags in a close match over Asllani holds similar levels of apprehension. The only benefit of seeing Asllani that it is an opportunity t9 see if he's worth keeping around.

Inzaghi simply doesn't like playing youngsters. There's a reason both his Lazio and Inter sides have been some of the oldest Serie A squads. Once you've come to terms with that everything else becomes a lot more clear.

Well Inter has to become that place if we want to make profits from sales every summer. Since Zhangs have decided to stick around and turn us into a selling club we need to act like one.

still interested in Ricci or Maggiore as far as italian

Argentine i still have high hopes for Juan Sforza, also there is Alcaraz, Redondo or even Nico Dominguez

Still interested in giving opportunities to Asllani and even Agoume, also if we can bring back Casadei

We should also sign young talents from the Americas, Africa, Asia and Oceania if even only to loan them out

Reading now in croatian media that rube is going strong for Kovačić in this mercato. Cant believe that it was enough for them just to resign whole board and thats it??? Now they can continue to buy everyone they want?? Meanwhile we are FUCKED. Sick, tired and disgusted by this shit.

Coutinho has become a bench warmer for Aston Villa. What happened to this guy? Maybe we can get him on loan. With these injuries to our starting trio we need new additions in midfield.

I like Paredes and I think he would fit well despite of the fact we can't afford him probably 😄

He hasn't been the same player he used to be few years ago. I think injuries affected him as a player. He even lost his starting position in Argentina.

Paredes has been pretty bad at Juve. Hard pass

He was never impressive though. A few flashes of brilliance here and there, but in a long shot he was never solid. Juve was just desperate on signing someone kinda "high profile" midielder like him, and this is why they are in a big trouble because they made so many pointless signings like him over the past few years.

agreed. still, on a loan contract, it's worthy to give him a shot, otherwise not.

What do you say on Kessie - Brozovic swap?
Initially I was like fuck no.

Then I started to think about the pro’s:

- Calhanoglu and Asslani are more than capable in the regista position. The latter I believe is the future and we have to start trusting him more

- Much needed physical presence in midfield. It’s no secret one a major weakness has been a lightweight midfield. With Kessie that quickly changes

- On paper I think Barella-Calha-Kessie is better than Barella-Brozo-Calha. Calha plays better as a regista than a mezzala
