Why aren't we linked with Lucas Torreira? Would be an ideal vice-Brozo imo, although they have a different style. Should be available on a cheap loan too. Had a good season with Fiore. Anybody know why they didn't trigger the buyout clause?

But Torreira will be even more expensive than Mkhi. Aresnal will ask for about 15mln most probably, and his wage is close to 3mln. He will demand longer contract than 2 years. And I still believe that our main target for this spot is Asllani.

I would snap up Mhiki on a free and sign Torreira on loan+option if Asllani asking price is too much.

Tico, Manu and Chelsea were after him, but Gerrad flyed to see him at his home and convinced him from Villa project. At Villa he will be one of the star players and it’s a good place him to grow at age of 22. Of course that ~€9m gross wage is also one big factor and says something abouth his talent!

I think it was smart move from him and maybe he was out of our reach anyway? He is very good and versatile player. I think he will be there 2-3 years and move on to bigger club and Villa take the profit!

Agreed, would have been a really smart pick up. We couldn’t match Aston Villa’s salary though if we’re being honest. Sad days.
