This was done before it started. If we are looking outside of Italy we don't have the pull or wage structure. Inside Italy is a different story
Outside Italy is rather large area...Plenty of markets out there where we can get players. But that requires good scouting.

No we couldn't. PSV would never have accepted a 2 year loan and then we start paying. That's what atalanta accepted.

Bild: With the fear of losing out growing, Inter are working to convince Thuram to accept a move in January as they meet Gladbach’s €10 million asking price, but the player is in no rush to make a decision.

Marcus Thuram’s agent has told Inter that the 25-year-old has no plans of leaving his current club in the January transfer window
The Nerazzurri met with Thuram’s representatives in Qatar to sound out the possibility of getting an agreement done early.

However, the 25-year-old’s representatives informed the Nerazzurri that Thuram plans to see out the rest of the current season at Gladbach and then make a decision about his future in the summer.

Inter had been considering a move for Thuram as early as January for a fee, in order to beat out the competition from Bayern Munich and teams in the Premier League in particular.

L’Equipe report that an unnamed Premier League heavy hitter have Thuram on their radar for next summer. Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Marseille, and Aston Villa are serious candidates in the race to sign Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram.

“Thuram is likely to stay in Germany. I’ll say Bayern or Borussia Dortmund, because they pay much more in wages there.” - Italian journalist Ivan Zazzroni
“Inter don’t have a euro to spend, I’m sure they don’t have the financial strength to offer a contract to Thuram and his agent that’s better than what he could get from teams in England or Germany” Zazzaroni added.

Italian agent Oscar Damiani feels that it would be strange to see a player of Marcus Thuram’s quality move on a free transfer, but that this would represent a great chance for a team like Inter.

Bayern Munich have made a contract offer to Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marchus Thuram worth almost double what Inter have offered the Frenchman
SportMediaset reported that the German champions have offered Thuram a deal worth €7 million net per season, compared to the €4 million net per season put forward by the Nerazzurri.

This sounds awfully familiar with Lukaku and Dybala last summer. So we are back to selling Correa as a requirement for a new forward. Good luck with that.
The best scenario is sending Lukaku back to Chelsea in January and sign Thuram. I read Chelsea is short on forwards. They can get their fatass back. We can think about selling Correa later in the summer.

There's no way Gladbach let Thuram go. They are involved in a CL qualification race and Thuram is integral to their challenge. Unless we can give them enough money to potentially offset not making the CL, which I doubt we can, it makes no sense for them to sell.

Similarly, they seem adamant about holding on to Sommer & Bensebaini rather than cashing in.
