He did not do well in Chelsea and United. Did great at Everton, West Brome and Inter. About 50 percent success rate. But man, this was his chance. Going back with the titles, to prove Chelsea that he is the man. And Tuchel can be a nuanced guy, he is not as bad as some coaches, at least he tries to listen, work with you, this and that. And all went south. I don't know, as much as I enjoy seeing him running over the defenders, dominating them, shooting good PKs, but there is a fear. What happens, if that does not happen 2nd time around in Inter. And Chealsea talking big loan fee, it means they are talking about option 50 mil for the second year.

Yep, not getting someone like Dybala for free but then pay that much for a loan deal of Lukaku is the ultimate Inter-esque move which I'm afraid they migth do. Even if they get them both it is very unlikely that Lautaro is kept as well and we have to endure the upfront of Lukaku-Dybala which IMO would be dysfunctional.

We need to take FULL ADVANTAGE of Chelsea's situation. If the player blatantly refuses to play or at least go anywhere else, we need to force a free loan or at most some nominal fee like 5m€. Will Chelsea keep their best paid player sulking in the sidelines? That's over 25m€ gross salary + bonuses.

Any substantial loan fees should be out of the question. We don't want to OWN Lukaku ever again. Only loan deals with minimal costs.

+1 Lukaku is a big big trouble for them. They should be grateful even if we take him on a free loan, but it would be too embarrassing, so 5m is a reasonable fee. Imagine how much trouble Lukaku will create in their dressing room if his request (to return to Inter) is not satisfied, it makes me laugh already.

I was reading earlier today on UK media Tuchel is going to have full control on transfers. If that happens Lukaku is gone. Maybe not to Inter but certainly away from Stamford Bridge.
