If that is the case i wouldn't be so sure. The west will continue sanctioning any Oligarchs to pressure Putin, and this means Roman. He's fucked, I assume majority of his cash/assets would be in London.

I would like Paredes, but its hard to see us giving him that €7m salary or him taking a paycut. I think he will run out his contract at PSG and go after his last big contract as free agend or make a new deal with PSG.

That is a very optimistic view. They can't currently be sold. The only way it can happen is if Roman agrees to hand over the club to the uk government and then they decide who to sell to.
Also Roman would get nothing from this sale.

I think the players under contract are stuck unless the special license isn't renewed 31 May 2022. If it's not renewed they can't get paid and that gives them cause to cancel the contract.

I don't want to enter political waters here but Zhang has a closer relationship to the Chinese regime than Abramovich has to the Russian one. It's just the way things work around there.

Both have ties with their respective leaderships, but Abramovich is free to do whatever he wants with his money, whereas Zhang is not. That's the big difference.

We're safe here, the west has no balls to cut any ties with China. There will be some 'punishments' here and there just for show but nothing will be particularly damaging to the economic interests the west has there in China.
