Thuram could provide some options if Inter now or in the future tries some other formations, the idea reserved for armageddon by Conte.

Don't have one.
Biasin saying zapata is definitely off, thuram will be really difficult coz borussia don't want to sell, so that basically leaves us with correa at this moment as the most realistic option.

This happens if you sell your player before already having a replacement in hand. Every other team is blocking transfers because they don't have any and now we are again the dumbasses.

The season starts in three days and still we can't get shit done. Pathetic and ridiculous display once again :palm:

Watch us massively overpay for Correa or end up with Moise Kean on loan.

I would definitely take a gamble on Thurman. Offer Lazaro plus 20

please no thuram, limited, even seems a bit slow and his dribbling is accidental. even numbers are not so convincing (price+delivering)

Was snooping around Gladbach's forum and their fans definitely value Thuram. General consensus is that he's a powerful and pacy difference maker. They are skeptical that this move will happen so late into the transfer market without having a replacement ready (like any sane management would do).

Also, according to a post in the forum, their sporting director (Eberl) just now said there has been no offer from us.

Of course there hasn't been any offer yet. We might have still contacted them and we have also Raiola who can represent us. Like he did with Dumfries deal.

I think we will play this slow and pick the best solution. Zapata was blocked, Atalanta isn't looking for replacement so they won't sell. So we move on. I'm not worried. The loan options will arrive on the market probably next week, like Jovic (rumor was Perez rejected our loan offer for him). At the latest in the last weekend of the mercato.

...or use Satriano and Zhang saves an additional 30m #wearesobroke

Am I the only one who thinks we will not buy a Lukaku replacement?
I think we need to rid of the mindset of high goal scoring #9s. In the modern game they're a lot more team goals, Atalanta and Napoli have been banging in 80+ goals last two seasons with their #9 never once amassing 20+ goals.

Instead of overpaying for a single striker maybee focus on getting as many of our outfield players on double digit goals as possible.

You've mentioned Jovic for the umpteenth this week, from RMs point of view, does loaning him out make any sense? And please don't mention mariano, they've been trying to get rid of him for years lol

I don't disagree with you, but we also need to work with what we have. Who else in our starting eleven is capable of bagging 7-10 goals? Perisic?

Gladbach sporting director, Max Eberl:

“I cannot rule anything out until the end of the transfer market, however it is mere speculation. The main point is that we would be extremely reluctant to give up Marcus, we would only do so very reluctantly.”

“Marcus can score even more goals than he did last season. He has an incredible amount of potential, power and dynamism.”

“In the long run, the visible results were not enough, and Thuram can show even more. And doing it at Gladbach is definitely a good move for him.”

According to Sky, Inter have decided to go for Thuram. Gladbach are asking for 30m, Inter's offer is lower an there have been contacts in the latest hours to close the distance.

Pedulla also reports Thuram is ahead of Correa on Inter's list and the deal could close for 30m.

Let's hope Thuram is as good as people say and we can sign him.

Personally, I find it weird when people say Thuram is fast and strong. I didn't see him display his pace and strength in the games vs us, and no hints that he had them either. He kinda reminds me of... Tom Ince.

Edit: just checked, dude is 192cm, that's probably why I never saw him running with any hints of urgency, he didn't need to.

Maybe people just assume he's fast and powerful because he's black.

Anyway, I will only accept Thuram if he renounces his father before joining.

The good thing about Thuram is he gives us more flexibility in attack and we could even switch to 3-4-3 if we want to. But he is a gamble. An interesting gamble but a gamble nonetheless.
