I'd say Chelsea has a really great team and they got rid of Ivanović, Willian,.. and Lampard is also a pretty capable coach.
Werner, Kova, Kante, Jorginho, Barkley, Ziyech, Havertz, .. fuck it, I like their team better than ours
just to point out kovacic is 26 now...kante 29, barkley 26... jorginho 28...
our core is as incredible IMHO. Lautaro (23), Lukaku (27), Barella (23), Sensi (25), Hakimi (21), Skriniar (25), Bastoni (21), De Vrij (28).
We just need to round out LWB, GK, and another MC. Get rid of Longo, JM, Vecino, Gagliardini, Candreva, etc.
i mean tbf even from day one i was a bit cautious about godin, we've been burned by vidic etc recently and signing an ex-world-class CB for bosman sounds great, doesnt work.

We also signed the Brazilian captain 2-3 years ago and that didn’t work either

Issue is Godin expected to start. Kolarov will not. He knows he has to fight for a spot
Again didn’t want and don’t want either. But are you going to rely on CBs that are as young as we have. A drop in confidence can fk us hard. As the next most senior defender is Rano who is like 7th choice
Miranda was pretty good for us all things considered. My expectations werent MASSIVE, but him+skriniar did make a major impact on our defense.
Issue was three at the back.34 year old and first time in that kind of defence, what you expected?Issue is Godin expected to start. Kolarov will not. He knows he has to fight for a spot
“So Ndombele, we can say, in this moment, the deal [has] collapsed with Inter, it’s not progressing, because the real problem between Inter and Tottenham for the Ndombele and Skriniar deal is about the valuation of the players.
“Inter think that Ndombele has the same value [as] Milan Skriniar, Tottenham are absolutely against this kind of mentality. They want around €40m or €30m [on top] of Milan Skriniar. So the swap deal, in this moment, is so, so complicated.”
