De Paul could be good rotation option for Sensi. Not sure has he stamina enough for Conte's demanding football.

Isn't De Paul more of a winger, AM at best? Don't see how he could fit. Maybe as an SS, but that means we're getting kinda overcrowded in front with Lukaku, Lautaro, Sanchez, Esposito, even if Politano is sold.

Nothing wrong with having options but I just think we are expected to reinforce in midfield, especially a B2B/DLP type of player as a Brozo/Sensi sub and a pure DM in Vecino/Gags' place.

Even if we get someone like Eriksen, I'm not sure how that plays out. If you have this kind of player he should occupy an advanced position in the middle three, so you'd need a Barella clone (a comptenent b2b with a good engine) more than someone like Brozovic or Sensi.

I think last couple of games Sensi was more like AM roaming behind the forwards instead of b2b. De Paul fits in that category.

Diego Demme who scored for Leipzig could be a good choice for a central midfielder since we want Italians. Not a great upgrade over both Vecino and Gagliardini.
Possibly cheaper too.

With players like Eriksen, Ryan Fraser, Meunier, Mertens, Cavani, David Silva, etc on expiring contracts, there are potential good deals to be done in January. Even someone like Timo Werner has a 30m release clause. If we don't buy a top quality midfielder and striker (and possibly a wingback) in January, then we can't blame anyone else for further compromising our season. I don't mind if some of the quality players we get in January are old/short term options like Vidal/Rakitic/Cavani, but we must get some quality options!

Damn, yet again, the inadequate signings in midfield ruined us. No idea at all but we need to sign 2 quality midfielders in the Winter mercato (even stop gap is fine) !! With Lazaro starting to show sign, we might be okay in the wing back department. It is mainly only THE midfield department at the moment which need to be focused, along with one proper striker.
