We need some Italians, thats what we need, I love football, but its getting out of hand.
The English league is the most diverse but they invented the sport, and they have their players throughout the United Kingdom.
Inter was founded being diverse, bringing in Swiss if memory serves me right many were of some sort of Italian decent. It might mean that we will always be the most diverse, Which im ok with but we need new Italians, the treble season shouldnt be an excuse, We used Italians in Toldo, Materazzi, Santon and Balotelli (the later two being Academy) and others. We capitalized on the end of an era a team forged over a decade, im glad it worked out and rather not repeat it.
To Inters defense there was the Calciopoli scandal, Im sure we along with others made many enemies, we were already in direct competition with eachother, some would rather sell abroad then in country. Im pretty sure Serie B is on a warpath, while i respect all the foreign talent as it brings out the best in other players and it is only strengthening the league throughout all the divisions, many of Italias youth in Serie B might find themselves in Serie A soon, and there are many throughout C, which i dont know what to make of them.
Sau for 20 million was probably a bargain, always shows up in the big game, averaged 1 or 2 shots a game if any.
Argentines and Uruguayans some others like Swiss and Australian, Im sure are appreciated, Argentines and Uruguayans from what i recall 70% of the population have some sort of Italian Ancestry. Argentina lost the first world cup to Uruguay but they both have the most Copa Americas, meanwhile Italia won the 2nd and 3rd World Cup, were Football crazy, easily their greatest passion along with Art, Music, Literature and Film, NTM other sports. Italy would likely burn the place to the ground if the Italian element fades.
I foresee South America becoming slightly more diverse in terms of In continent players, hopefully this brings more money in, I know in Argentina from what i heard the money has to go to the clubs interest and its hard to hold onto players, Newells philosophy is to put the money into the academy, hopefully with more money they can afford to bring back players. I once read Argentina's top export was literally Football players.
Argentina has had recent success in Libertadores, I hope it continues, Italia on the otherhand had both Milan clubs win the Champions league and lose a spot, NTM FFP has changed the game. South America also needs more success in the Club world cup, like the olden days.
