Sahin is gone. Madrid was faster, and richer.

sahin simply wanted madrid, it has nothing to do with money or acting quickly

Might be. We never really were interested in him, only us fans rumoured around about him. I'm sure he won't get much playing time there, but whatever.

Probably it got to do with money also. Like I said I think Sahin and his agent got a hefty signing bonus fee as the transfer fee is that low (10m€). His agent is that sleezy motherfucker, the same one who got Özil to Real for a relatively cheap price.

We were interested in him, Branca confirmed it a couple of weeks ago, and it was not a question of money 'cause apparently he had a buy-out clause of 10 milion for non-german clubs, so it would have been a really cheap transfer and I am sure that Branca and co. tried it but he simply wanted Real M. (either that or Branca is a total moron which I don't believe is true)

He wanted to join Real so he can say afterwards Özil isn't the only Turkish youngster who got to play for a big club.

The task of keeping Inter's shit together in the midfield, isn't something he could do in my opinion. Real has 5 players for every position. They can rotate whenever they feel like & they get backup from other players.

I don't see how a Sahin could solve out midfield problems.

Agree, inter needs one good backup per every position and not just 3 and trust in a good season without injuries...and that dont means spend 100 mills.

Well, it's not simply that either... Özil & Sahin are mates, as well...They've talked many times about eventually playing together...I have a buddy who follows the German league a lot and says the German papers intimate that Sahin had reservations about RM for all the obvious reasons...But that Özil assured him that he could thrive there

Personally, I fear he will languish ala Gago on the bench...But, we'll see

then you need glasses mate. he would settle in perfectly. would need a a bit of a hard man to play alongside him tho, like he has Sven Bender in Dortmund.

Think some of you guys already mentioned Witsel as well (I'll be damned, but Belgium really has some promising attacking mids these days :p...)

He's good: young (22), strong on the ball, has vision combined with a good pass and has a very good shot as well. He also already won the award for Belgian football player of the year. He scored another beauty yesterday to keep Standard de Liege only 3 points of first place:

Some more stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nobmN4v9Jpg

I'm sure we can get him for a good price and have him learn from Sneijder!

Sahin mentione once he'd like to play in Italy where his good friend Boateng plays. He never said he'd play in Milan, Inter... Real probably showed best interest I guess

Unless we see a stunner tommorow and BvB announce in their press-conference that Sahin is going to Inter and not Real, we should drop discussions about him :)

Sunday Mirror speculates that Nasri is either staying or then going to Inter (of course it isn't like that, but surely we are in hunt)

http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A//www.fcinter1908.it/%3Faction%3Dread%26idnotizia%3D23201&hl=en&langpair=auto|en&tbb=1&ie=ISO-8859-1

Narsi's contract expires in 2012, so we might have a chance to get him for relatively cheap price. Dunno what is it about with Nasri's contract renewal with Arsenal but we should show an interest. Narsi would be a fantastic addition. He can play fast, he has a good technique and understanding of the game, and he's still young so there is room for development (defensive aspect of the game). Also he has experience from top level football (EPL, CL), he could be used in midfield and in the wing position. I'd be all in for Nasri if is available at some point. We could get him for little under 20m€ maybe (contract expiring) I think. Nasri before Sanchez or any other forward in any day of the week to me.

Sorry mate, he's sticking to Arsenal. As a part gooner myself, I'm hoping he stays at Ashburton Grove. Either way, we at Inter have more than enough midfielders who play a similar role to him.

Nasri would be awesome, considering that we can buy him for less than 20 mln€...

Inter has no midfielders who play the same role as Nasri. They may play at the same position (CM) but no one is as technical as him. Nasri would be an automatic starting player in our team given his technical overpower compared to our midfielders. Sneijder is only one who is at the same level as Nasri in terms of quality (and higher) but even he's not that technical with the ball. They are a bit different type of players, Sneijder is more fast-forward, direct-style player whereas Nasri prefers passing more.

We have the grit more than enough, but we don't have the skill.
