Selling Balo to City was a great deal in retrospect, for both imo. I don't think I was for it when it happened though.

Mancin was better for them than for us imo. The sam goes for Kolarov, obviously, lol

Dzeko was not utilized as much over there as you would expect from a player of his unique abilities and talent. Loved Viera as a player, but they can have him, don't give a shit

A final is a final and all pressure is on city. Trying to win the cl for the first time and equalying Man Utd as the only English side with a treble.

As a great man once said a dream is more pure then an obsession.

The FA Cup Final is a week before we play, and Man Utd will have every motivation to try and remain the only English club with a treble to their name, so we'll have to wait until then to know whether City is playing for the treble or not.

Maybe the better question is whether it helps us or hurts us, the outcome of that game. You mention the pressure of the treble...not that they would prefer to lose the FA Cup Final, I'm very clearly not going to suggest that, but I do wonder if a side benefit to that would be "ok, treble's off the table, now we just try and win this game". I dunno. Something tells me the pressure of a CL Final operates on its own merits regardless of anything else that precedes it.

How you did it before this season in CL (betting on us to win instead of our opponents)? If not, I beg you not to do it please. Don't disrupt the working formula, bet on city instead

I have never put a bet in my life actually.

0-1 (Dias. Minute '1) header from a corner
0-2 (KDB. Minute '8) dangerous counter attack with Haland and KDB, this look like will be a blowout)
0-3 (KDB. Minute '39) long range shot
1-3 (Lautaro. Minute '54) header
2-3 (Barella. Minute '78) outside the box
3-3 (Cala. Minute '80) Lautaro gets a pen and Cala kicks and scores

Penalti shoot out. Gagliardini scores the winner like Smicer did with Liverpool

Dream is free of charge.

I'm not one for optimism in general but here I have to loosely quote Materazzi - team that has 8 clean sheets in this CL campaign like us has what it takes to win the competition. If anything, City and Pep are under so much more pressure than we are. We have nothing to lose, everyone expects us to go down. No one will be disappointed or sacked for losing a CL final.
On the other hand imagine the kind of shit Pep will have to face up if he loses yet again, and to this dollar store team too. No wonder why english-speaking media is already doing preventive damage control.

I think there is good chance if we can manage to keep our heads cool (this is where our average squad age works to our favor for once) and avoid stupid mistakes.

Having an impressive clean sheet record prior to a final won’t necessarily be helpful. Ask Juve in 2017.

No matter who wins, it will be deserved. If Inter wins, we have beat the best team of the season. If City wins, they showed this was their year for real.

We put 3 goals past a stronger side than Madrid, away from home. And it could have easily been 5 or 6. I feel like our defence has improved from then too.

City has the better squad, but it doesn’t need to be said that the better squad doesn’t have anything guaranteed.

United are not the same team without Martinez back there defending. So it is possible but I doubt they can derail City.

I think we have a better chance to beat them. Start big Rom and ride his ass up front. Way he is playing he is a problem for City's defense.

The way Walker, Dias and Stones are playing, I don't think Lukaku stands a chance to be honest. =) We can hurt them on set pieces, so that's my best bet.

Not that anyone cares, but surely we've amassed enough coefficient points to be a pot 2 club, right? Assuming the worst.

Well i did care few days ago. :D

A question for those who're good with UEFA coefficients. Does our CL run guarantee a spot in Pot 2 next season (provided we finish in Serie A top 4)? Or we would still need some favorable results to get in there?

@brehme1989 believes we will certainly be in.

Yeap if City wins CL then auto Pot 1 goes to Feyenoord.
Chelsea is out.
Even not accounting for Juventus, Roma and Liverpool, we're like 10th or 11th now.

We'd need to be a minimum 15th to be excluded from Pot 2 if all teams go to CL.

Come on folks, the final will be on neutral ground. Don't overact like City is that fearsome away from home. Go check the stats and their past away performances in the Champions League.
