i know it’s City we’re facing but lets just enjoy the moment, who would have thought we are in CL Final.

All the shit ESPN and all the English commentators are saying man I’d love to see them cry

Nothing better than when the New England patriots had a perfect season went to the Super Bowl heavy favorites and got spanked by the Giants :)

I was really worried after seeing how City dismantled Real Madrid but then I saw Nyall opened this thread and now I'm calm again.

I had to look it up, and Nyall used the exact same phrasing in this title as he did in the 2010 Bayern thread, so that's good vibes.

Now, here's to a 2-0 where the second goal is scored exactly as many minutes later as the first goal was scored. That 35' and 70' Milito statline is sublime. 2009-'10 was Diego's first year at the club...this is Lukaku's first year of his second stint at the club...it wouldn't do much for most Belgians I'm guessing but what a wonderful chance at redemption awaits him.

Man there was a time during the banter era that I thought I’d never see Inter in a CL final again in my lifetime. Such a special moment and way unexpected. These guys have a chance to go down as legends.

I seem unable to get ahold of myself on this game. I need to clear the air of feeling extremely anxious about this game. Let’s talk in terms of tactics, not that it would mean anything in favour of our odds, regardless let’s just talk about it.

I notice in two leg games against Real, Guardiola has been using the hybrid 3-4-2-1 as they usually go with 4-3-3 most of this season. I just figure it might be some sort of tactical adjustment if his team’d ever face a team like Inter with Simone’s tactical traits. How do we respond to this? I mean would there be a specific approach Simone strategize provided the information?

And give your thoughts about the final in terms of tactics too if you don’t mind.

Stones' evolution as Rodri's midfield partner is worrying, that combo tore Madrid to shreds. Even more so than Haaland, we have to think about how to stop Rodri from pulling the strings. he was magnificent

This game is currently not as important as the remaining 3 Serie A games. Hopefully we only need to win against Napoli and that's enough for the top4 spot.

We can only play our best if we know we are in CL next season already.

I'm not gonna expect anything from Inter and just enjoy the game.

No pressure on inter. It’s all on Manchester city.

They rocked 4 goals on Real fling Madrid!!!!! They also had 2-3 goal line saves before the 1st goal.

They went out to destroy.

Positives

They tied the away games and rock the other team at home. We are playing in Turkey :)

Pressure is on them and no one expects us to win. If we can hold out the 1st 15-20 minutes they will start to panic hopefully and we can get a nice counter fluke goal.

Kind of funny the Cb who scored was linked to us on free transfer an a lot of you thought he wasn’t good enough.

if I think about this tie logically and purely in terms of football, there really isn’t much in it. City are much deeper than us in quality, with absolute freaks like Haaland and KDB who can break the game all on their own.

People will say we should park the bus and play 11 behind the ball all night— we will probably have to do a lot of that, but I don’t think that’s the way. We have to be organized and patient as well as give them something to think about at the back. In other words, the fullbacks will need to get forward.. Bernardo Silva against Dimarco already making my stomach turn.

Anyway, they say pazza inter for a reason. And winning the CL with this squad would be just about the most pazza inter shit ever. I want to believe.

I get what you're saying and I don't know what to expect either but have to disagree - you don't play champions league finals every season. And if we win this you know we qualify for next season so moot point. In fact, I would consider this game the most important one since the treble season. To add another champions league trophy is a dream
