I wonder if this is the biggest gap in quality on paper ever in a Champions League final.
Real Madrid vs Bayer Leverkusen, which was a close match after all.

Its essentially a copy paste of 2010 Barca- Inter. That Barca team was innovative beasts, just like City is right now ( thanks to Oil daddy ofc)

And again, its Pep standing in our way. Way smarter though, with loads of experience now. In 2010 he was just getting started.

Its gonna be a hell for us.

I'm not so pessimistic about this one. A lot of our players have huge chips on their shoulders, something to prove, and know this is their one and only choice. A mentality like that outclasses exactly what Man City are.

They know who they are, some of the highest paid, high transfer fee, most curated, squad there is. That type of pressure can stop you dead in your tracks easily.

Fun fact: In September, we had 2% chance to make the final. Nothing is impossible.

Is there anyone here who put money down at the beginning of the season that we would make the final, as a joke? Are you laughing now on your way to the bank?

Interesting match, I’m quite surprised. With his experience and winning mental, Carlo got outplayed by Pep and had no answer or adjustment early, even was down 2-0 at halftime. He made mistakes with Militao starting, kept same game plan, same midfielders trio. Pep also played the same but he had one change, ordering pressing highier and earlier, not like 1st. John Stones was so aggressive and even went to near Madrid’s box.

Would be exiting final. I believe we have more chances to win than people’re giving us, at least 35% or 40%, not like 10% 15% right now.

It was always gonna be City I think. They're the better team. Also my concern with them is that the way to beat them is to press them high but I don't think Inzaghi will go that route. I suspect we're gonna sit back and counter. It's a tough way to play them because they're so disciplined, so much better to hit them in the mouth and get all up in their faces.

Hoping he's got something special cooked up in that way though. Get them out of their rhythm is the way.

How can we win against this shit? Not a single one of us could be in their starting lineup, coach included. The less we mention team chemistry the better.

Not comparable to 2010 in any means. We still had some world class superior to Barca, Maicon > Alves in instance. And this... :palm:

A final is a final and all pressure is on city. Trying to win the cl for the first time and equalying Man Utd as the only English side with a treble.

As a great man once said a dream is more pure then an obsession.
