I agree, its a less risky bet, but the outright cost might simply be out of our budget. If you have only £100, you cant say that buying a computer for £500 is likely to be better than a computer for £100, you simply cant afford it
Getting rid of Correa should free up some budget for Lukaku's loan, no? And if we are that broke, then keep our youngster loanees like Mulatieri. It won't be worse than having Correa as a backup for sure.

Man I really think we need a revolution in attack next season which means I would like at least two new names, which also means in an ideal world we should pick between dzeko or lukaku in terms of who is staying and say goodbye to correa. I don't think that's realistic, but it is what needs to be done, so we can finally exit this vicious circle of our strikers being streaky as fuck and that costing us in the long run.

Don't think replacing just correa with whoever, and lukaku, dzeko and lautaro staying will improve us that much, cos bar lukaku improving slightly compared to this season I don't think dzeko or lautaro have much more margin to improve, they are what they are and their stats this season is what you can expect from them in best case scenario next season as well.
What's not realistic about it? Dzeko's contract ends at the end of season and Lukaku is not an Inter player. Only Lautaro and Correa remain and Correa can be loaned out. Nothing unrealiatic about replacing these 3 with the other options.

Yes, hopefully.

if we can really find somebody that offers the same that Lukaku does or better, on our budget, then Marotta deserves a shrine

When Marotta was asked about triggering Dybala clause he said he appreciates Dybala but there's no space for him and we're good in attack as we are. I fear they don't intend to make big changes in attack and at best they will just bring a Correa replacement.

Not really surprised considering we have no budget, and are in desperate need of at least two new starting defenders.

Lukaku is too expensive to loan again, especially for a club in our financial condition.

I'm afraid that will mean playing a 38 year old Džeko, Correa and another costly loan of Lukaku next season.. don't know if that's smart. Džeko can't be our 2nd/3rd choice next season - so we need somebody fresh, young, pacy. Correa isn't the right piece for us.

We can say he's expensive to have at the club, but the question is would we be here today in this position if you remove his contributions, might not be many but very crucial.

Imo it's more down to the fact if we can afford not to keep him (extend loan), because we won't bring no one close to what he does for that much less money. I would keep him as he has been excellent lately and if he can get in proper shape during summer he could be devastating again.

I am sure that he will want to stay at the club regardless of his form, to go back to Chelsea would be to fall back on the same rake, which he definitely does not want.

He can stay for another year for half of what we paid to Chelsea and half of his current salary, otherwise I don't jizz over his recent form. That's the normal thing he should offer for what he costs, and just doing that by the end of season does not justify his staying for another year for the same price.
Yeah totally he purposely got himself injured and missed most of the world cup just so he could start playing well in May so he can stay..

That makes a lot of fucking sense

A club with no budget does not offer as much as we are giving to our 4 current forwards. If anything, we need to stop doing what we are doing and do not give big salaries to those who are going to show up for 2 months and their overall performance ain't worth half the money the club is paying them.

The management needs to stop seeing this club as a charity, specially when they constantly complain about lack of money.

If he wants to stay, it shall be on Inter's terms, not his. Reducing the salary, would be the first thing to be resolved.

I'm on the few ones that still think he has to go, despite anything that happens in these upcoming matches. He's only getting older, which means slower reactions, prone to more injuries and everything else. I don't care much about his salary, because a top team needs to have players whom earn good money so they could make difference, but the issue is that I don't think Lukaku will be THAT good ever again.

Even if Lukaku is never THAT good again as you put it even though in the last month he’s shown otherwise….who the hell can we sign that will be better?

It’s all well and good for you guys to say no to Lukaku, ok then give some names….Dia, Reteugi, Openda, Scammaca?? Please enlighten me

Gags was pretty okay for half a year as well. I would believe in Lukaku more if he wasn't MIA for half of the season... and the games he did play, he had some real stinkers. That did happen, we must not forget that. What guarantee do we have he won't have a part of the season stinking the place again?

The second loan will really be a big gamble, just like this first loan was.
