Most of these players were Conte requests and the rest were already considered quality players. Even Dumfries had impressed in Euro and Onana was really a no brainer as a free agent. He was considered a quality GK, who had to work on few things to become a top one, and the only concern was about his lack of playing time after his ban.

But when it comes to players who could come with a risk we usually choose the ones who play in Serie A.

I don't think we considered Aouar because there were never links with him. Same thing with Dahoud. Instead there have been many reports about Keita, who was eventually rejected (thankfully), and about the talks with Pereyra agent.
Alternatively, change the list to players we've signed since Suning tightened our money in 2020. The list is almost exclusively Serie A players, with the exceptions of Onana (free) and Dumfries (cheap). Management had to make decisions after our cash flow left, and their decision was to go ultra conservative.

Because our scouting sucks.
I said it again. When sign Inter a green player from a lower league or lesser club and you can see it was good scouting. And I don`t mean a player who is a hit from the first game. You need to go back to Brozovic nearly 10 years ago. Otherwise, nothing to remember (or you can remember the catastrophe like Barbosa or Joao Mario).
Barbosa was a great prospect. We just weren't a good fit and he also wasn't in a mental state.
Joao Mario was a good player but that price tag melted his mentality away.

Those were also Kia transfers and not really scouting decisions. Whereas Kondogbia was a result of scouting.

Scouting departments in football don't focus on personalities and whether a player would fit. They just look at football characteristics. It's then up to management to do their due diligence. The scouting does that to an extent but they cannot know who the coach can work with and how the existing players would react to such an introduction.

And once again, you have zero evidence that our scouting department isn't any good. You omit the line of operations and your arguments stem from transfer decisions rather than scouting reports.

Our scouts have given management a list of over 500 players in the last three seasons. Unless Marotta personally knows the player, agent, club manager or team owner, we rarely do shit.
Marotta has decided he's going to take over incoming transfers.
He has given Ausilio the task to sell players. Players that Marotta decides are up for sale, not just anyone to raise funds. Ausilio's best trait is spotting talent. And he was pretty good at selling deadweight.
Now he's charged with selling top players against their will, on a discount.

And this isn't working.

Is there some fun in this type of writing style?

It seems like some 15-year-old stuff.
Chill. That is just a wording form of this meme, to mock jackass arguments that are popularly spread for no sensible reasons :D

I perfectly know what it's about, I just find it very childish. But on the other hand, we are at Internet so it is what it is.

So now the argument changes already.

We want only Serie A proven players expect in cases when we don't.

The argument hasn't changed one bit. Post covid our signings have mostly been from Serie A. Take a look at this.

What I got from your super funny meme post was that someone has claimed we only want Serie A proven players. and how stupid that is. Now it changed to we've mostly signed only players from Serie A post covid.

Not my fault you got it wrong. I have been saying in the last two pages it was criticism towards club's policy. Not about something that someone might have or have not said. And of course we're talking about post covid, about the current situation. We criticise or praise coaches, management, ownerships etc. based on the current stuation, not based on what happened 3-4 years ago. What happened before covid is of litle importance for the present. Different financial situation, different club policy, different coach. And post covid there's a clear strategy from the management.

It was obvious from the post i quoted in the first place i was referring to management, not to another individual on the forum. I really have nothing else to add.

Kessie played some good games for Barca, he doesn't look like traitor, and he can be useful, but if they sell him I can see him going to Tottenham/ Aston Villa/ Newcastle type of club.

Realistically, if he wanted to come here he would come for free on summer...

No way Barca values Brozovic as much as in winter.

what important this year is to qualify for cl as that would at least give us better chances to sign out of contract good players looking for different challenge

1 i can think of is signing ceballos from madrid as we can offer him first team game replacing mkhi. his engine and dribble would be great for our midfield
