Lukaku isn't making 9.5M net at Inter. And it's not even relevant, he's here only on loan. If we hire him permanently for that 8m€ net, then we can have this discussion.

But in general, 6m€ net for a CB is just fine. Going over that, well go to PSG then like Skriniar did.

It's actually 8.5m net, roughly 12m gross. And that's without any bonuses etc that we're not aware of.
And there's an extra fee to have him here with that salary, so the cost is closer to 25m than 12m.

Loan fee has nothing to do with the salary discussion though. Lukaku gross salary was reported to be 11m€ gross which is little over 8m€ apparently. Loan fee was 8m€ (+4m€ bonus for winning Scudetto which obviously won't be activated).

We overpaid for Lukaku so we must overpay for other key players too?!? What is this kind of logic... two wrongs do not make up one right, dude.

Btw you should understand, the problem is not with a specific number of salary. But it is Skriniar's will to join P$G. For whatever Inter offer is PSG could easily put some millions on top plus heavy signing bonus; we cannot compete with them regardless. That is how fuckups the current footballing system is.

What nonsense is written here. If Skriniar is fit and reaches his normal level, he is the best defender in the selection. We are not in a position to think about next season at all.

The best have to play and it's not like we have young talents that will develop through more playing time. It is painful to see that there are fans who very quickly forget what a player has meant for the club. He made a choice that we regret but it's not like he wasn't pushed in that direction by the club.

As long as he is here we have to support him and especially the club. We won't get a player like Skriniar for a while and I will remind you of this next season when we play a defensive line up with Smalling-Acerbi-Bastoni.

again... you guys are so against using the youth players but want all our players to bleed black and blue. To care about the club when it's just a job. An extra day of vacation time and an extra $20 a week in wages is enough to get them to go to another club/job just like the rest of us

If Skriniar hadn’t made certain declarations of love for this club, I wouldn’t be upset. He did, so I am.

And in terms of the work comparison, I’m not exactly telling my coworkers and boss “I want to be the Hamsik of the national health service” before immediately dipping out to a private company that pays me double :lol:

ANYWAY. Not even the issue here and I’m not blaming him for leaving football’s equivalent of an on fire Titanic sinking into shark infested waters. I am pissed because he’s clearly exaggerating an injury despite being on our payroll till June.

So he just went to Slovakia NT camp for their doctors to confirm his injury and he will be back at Appiano on Wednesday like the rest of the squad. People were losing their shit over nothing.
