Paris Saint-Germain will be regretting the decision not to push to sign defender Milan Skriniar from Inter during the January transfer window
This is the view of Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who note that the Parisians are starting to look thin in terms of defensive depth following the season-ending injury to defender Presnel Kimpembe.

Skriniar is set to join PSG during the summer transfer window when his contract with Inter expires, but the Parisians could likely have signed the Slovakian even before then if they had made the right offer to Inter in the January window.

The decision of the French champions was that they would rather wait until the summer when the former Sampdoria defender was available on a free transfer rather than offering too high of a fee for a player who only had a few months left remaining on his contract.

The basis for this decision was that PSG felt that with the defenders they already had in their squad, there would be more than enough for them to see out the rest of the current season.

However, given that Kimpembe is now injured, the strategy of declining to sign Skriniar for a fee is likely one that the Parisians are feeling some regret about.
Season seems to be over for Kimpembe => karma is real

I know your brain is weird, but why is that karma?? What about karma to Inter, because we'll lose him for free????

Haha so happy Bayern knocked them out. They should have taken him in January. Seems odd to penny pinch in that moment. Messi isn’t getting younger

We need him to be useful in these remaining matches. We are going through a critical period of the season and having him at his best would have been essential.

If both Darmian and Dumfries stay fit, I would prefer playing them. We should slowly start to get used to playing without him and honestly, Darmian is proving more reliable filling that RCB spot so far

I have absolutely no issues with Darmian, either as RCB or RWB, but the problem is that he's a far better solution than Dumfries (when it comes to right wingback position). If we have no other choice, then okay, but as long as Skriniar is fit to play and also willing to put in a real effort then I'd definitely use Skriniar on his usual position and also Darmian as right wingback. We are far more competitive and less vulnerable.

maybe if inzaghi can integrate Bellanova in the starting line up, we should never to saw Skriniar face again on the pitch. Dumfries is trash unfortunately, Darmian should be an automatic starter at the RWB post.

Bellanova doesn't seem like a solution for us. He lacks intelligence first of all and also is pretty damn undisciplined tactically. Like I said earlier, the guy might actually succeed in any other league where it's rather physical. He is very fast and works hard, but sadly in Serie A it's very difficult if you're tactically not good enough, especially for a top team.

we are paying this dude and he is professional. Him leaving is on us shopping him around for years and not giving him a contract extension.

Help us get to the next round of champions league and a top 4 finish. Then go to Paris where we will knock you out of champions league next season

We tried that but he isn't professional enough. We can't afford to have him throwing games like the one against Empoli

Btw, in all likelihood it's him who's asking not to be played in order to stay fit for his new masters. Such a loyal character

Meh, I see him on the stadium acting like a fan. He really wanted to play in this game

Well, I strongly disagree. He has been the heart of this team, but he has no reason to stay at Inter if we aren't paying him the proper wages.

If Lukaku gets another year at Inter, but we can't offer more money for Skriniar, that doesn't mean Skriniar doesn't care about Inter, just that the management fucked up royally. Well, that's my personal opinion.

Proper wages...€6 million is proper in anyone's book...
