If we had money we could go for Jonathan David or Kolo Mouani who have higher upside. But we don't. So in our current financial situation Thuram is the best we can get.
This guy suit Inter as well.

JD is not a top tier forward or goal scorer. Someone already mentioned, he has a similar profile as Lautoro. Lautoro is definitely a better striker. If we're going to invest that kind of money, we need to invest smarter. We need a goal scorer (and penalty taker).

2023/24 Inter Forwards: Rom - Lautaro - Dzeko - Di Maria - Carboni

This rotation would score ~60 league goals between them, that's good enough for the glorious scudetto granting us the second star

A top tier forward and goal scorer would cost over 60m. A lot more than you would spend on someone like David. And these players are so hard to find nowadays. Man Utd are looking for one. Chelsea are looking for one. Liverpool thought they got one in Nunez but it didn't work. Real are looking for one for post Benzema. Barcelona had to buy 33-year old Lewa to get one. Bayern are looking for one. Juventus thought they had one in Vlahovic but it hasn't really worked. Actually i can only think of Haaland, Mbappe, Kane and Osimhen right now who fit your criteria. And those guys have insane values.

And we don't necessarily need a forward who will score 25-30 goals. We just need someone to aid Lautaro in attack. A forward who could score 15-20 goals per season on consistent basis. And David could be that player.

Anyway, we don't even have that kind of money. In fact we have 0. So the best we can hope for is someone like Thuram.

Add Correa to that list and you have a CL winning team

What's Dybalas release clause? And how's Jovic? Cabral scored a great goal vs Braga but I haven't paid attention to Fiore much.

Di Marzio reported that it's €12m for clubs outside Serie A and €20m for domestic clubs. However, he also reported that Roma has the option to bump his salary to €6m to cancel these clauses.

Jovic's been terrible whenever I've seen them play. Fiorentina are much weaker compared to last year. They're really missing Torreira and Vlahovic.

We're probably Thurams' best option if he wants to be a starter. Would he start for PSG, Real, Barca, City, Liverpool, Spurs or Arsenal? No. Chelsea, United and Bayern will be aiming higher. If he wants to be a bench player he can go to those clubs but if he wants to start every game, make decent money with growth decree and play CL football (hopefully) he should come here.

He's not world class but there are only like 3 better than him and they're going to the aftermentioned clubs. Even if we had money he's still the best we're going to get.

What’s to monitor? Isn’t he on loan from Arsenal?
Arsenal have a decison to make in the summer. Jesus is untouchable and is their starting striker but one of Nketiah and Balagoun will probably be sold. Regardless Pl clubs will be in for both and we don't have the money to compete with them. I would like both though
