According to a report in Corriere Dello Sport, Inter Milan is reportedly considering Benjamin Pavard to reinforce its defensive package in the summer.

The Frenchman is a full-back by trade but Inzaghi could use him as a fifth in midfield or third in defense, as his qualities allow it.

The Bayern Munich player currently has a contract expiring in 2024 and will surely be a target of many European big names in the summer, but Marotta seems convinced that he can contend with rivals.
Apparently he's barca bound.

Tomiyasu would be a good option to replace Skriniar IF we had money and Arsenal were there usual self. He ain’t coming.

Davinson is utter shit at Tottenham, but he seemed very promising at Ajax. Has a lot of speed also. I would stay away tho.

Djalo and Chalobah i don’t know.

Scalvini would be very nice, he and Bastoni will be the future cv’s from Italy. Really smart and talented cb. He ain’t ready to lead the line as the most central cb tho. Would keep De Vrij or Acerbi around in that case.

Ideally we het him and Pavard as Skriniar replacement. I could live with Bastoni, Scalvani, Pavard and De Vrij/Acerbi as a backline.

Sadly we can’t afford both Scalvini and Pavard and we will struggle to get even one of them.

I think Scalvini is more likely as he is Italian and most of Italians are more keen to stay at Italy and be closer to their family. We can also try to swap some youth players with Atalanta. Deal will most likely be loan with obligation + youth player. Scalvini will also come with lower wages than Pavard and there is also resale value to our invest if he is not total flop.

Of course Pavard is more proven and mature, but I think Bayern will ask pretty big fee from Pavard even if he’s contract ends 2024 and those Barcelona links don’t help our case.

But if we can get eather one of those players I will be really happy!

Pavard at RCB is just what we need but it's too good to be true. No way we can afford him.

I feel like the best way to utilize Scalvini is at the middle of the back three with playmaking duties. We'll be priced out of signing him as well anyway.

We need a RCB and I don't think Smalling will cut it there either. Darmian late renaissance?

I think Pavard is Barcelona bound or something like that, plus he will cost money that Inter are not ready to spend.

Scalvini remains the dream, I doubt there will be funds for him in the upcoming summer. He could stay for 1 more season at Atalanta and then move - transfer value will be more or less the same anyway.

This brings us to Smalldini [free transfer] and probably Becão:
Multiple reports in Italy, including Sportmediaset, claim Becao’s agency, Antoniu’s Assessoria Esportiva, posted a picture from Inter’s headquarters on Instagram on Friday but then removed the post.

It read: “Work never stops, even after the end of the January transfer window, we go forward, focused on future opportunities. We held talks with Atalanta and Inter looking towards the summer transfer window.”

Becao, 27, has a contract running through June 2024 at the Dacia Arena and is not Inter’s only target to replace Skriniar.

The Serie A giants have also targeted Atalanta’s Merih Demiral and Roma‘s Chris Smalling. The latter has a contract expiring this coming June at the Stadio Olimpico.

Becao joined Udinesein 2019 and has scored five goals in 115 appearances with the Bianconeri. Napoli have also been linked with the Brazilian defender.
If they made them take off the post, it means it`s serious.

I think Tomiyasu would come as he's not a starter. Obviously Arsenal are a better project but a player should rather start at a top club like Inter with UCL football than rot on the bench

Sanchez is really good. However he gives the opposition team a goal every couple of games so I agree

Theoretically we should have some money to play with. Skriniar's new contract was worth 48 million over 4 years so we should be able to spend on a replacement. Obviously that will include the players' wage and we would buy from a club that would be willing to recieve payments in 4 installments. Will we? Probably not. But I don't even want to consider the possibilty that we replace one of the best CBs in the world with 34 year-old Smalling and Becao

Pavard wants to leave Bayern because he wants to play as a CB. Barcelona already have Araujo, Kounde, Christensen, Alonso and Garcia there. They are rumored to get some Mexican kid and some other kid from Girona.

If Pavard isn't a dumbass he wouldn't join them. I can see him joining Chelsea though.

The entourage of Becao : "We had meetings with Inter and Atalanta for the summer session"

Do you read the posts in here before posting? :p

Another confirmation regarding Zeno Debast:
As reported by Het Nieuws Blad, Inter sent scouts to watch Debast in his most recent outing in Anderlecht’s 0-0 draw with Royal Antwerp last month, and they were impressed with what they saw.

The 19-year-old Belgian centre back, who joined Anderlecht at the age of six, has been an impressive figure for the club this season, making 33 appearances across all competitions. Contracted to the team until 2025, the defender has an estimated market value of around €8-10m.

Debast can play as both a central defender, on the left or right, and a defensive midfielder, looking a decent fit for Simone Inzaghi’s three-man defence.
Sounds like a proper investment, young enough to learn Serie A defending.

He will be decent fir for Inzaghi, when he is at least 25 years old.

I'm not really excited about Becao but I honestly believe Smalling would be a success. Roma's defense falls apart when he's not part of it and they seem really solid with him. He can score a few goals as well.
