Official now that he made 17th appearance this season, good enough to trigger the clause. According to Calcio e Finanza, Inter will not collect the €3.5M from the sale, but instead will get to report €1.5M as capital gain.

"According to what was reported by the media, the deal was concluded on the basis of 3.5M. A figure that will allow Inter to register a capital gain of just under €1.5M. On the balance sheet of the club, Gravillon had a historical cost of 6.08M, with a net value of €2.75M in June 2021."

Anyone following this guy?

Been told a few weeks back that my team in Greece might go for him. I recall him being a decent defender and definitely cut for that level, but lost his whereabouts.

Panathinaikos!

I loved watching them and AEK in the European Cup in the early/mid-90s.

I remember a year when Panathinaikos were close to making it out of the group stage. They had Krzysztof Warzycha upfront. I remember them missing out on the last day of the group stage and I was really disappointe.

At the time, being a Greek Australian, I always supported the Greek teams playing in Europe, regardless of which team it was and despite my Pappou supporting Olympiakos.

European Cup semi finalists in 1996. Collapsed in the return home leg vs Ajax unfortunately. Would have been epic to beat Juventus then and be the 1st team to win European Cups in both football and basketball in the same year. Possibly 2nd team to generally win both after Real back then.

Made it out of the groups several times, also played vs Inter when we had Mourinho. His lucky charm is to lose to Panathinaikos at home, he proceeds to win the Champions League the next season

Ever since 1996 Greek football has been spiralling downwards but that last generation brought us the Euro in 2004.
Things only advanced the downtrend in the last 10 years..

Brehme, apologies for me being such a sketchy historian.

In any event, I'll always support a Greek team in Europe, regardless of which team it is.

You mentioned the spiral of Greek football, it does not appear that players are coming through the ranks like they did in the past. What are the causes(s) of this?
